Great night of music!
with Laura Zarougian, The Moon Shells, Michael Alan Hams
Americana, and Singer-Songwriter
The Avalon Lounge
29 Church St.
Catskill, NY   See Map
Laura Zarougian, the Armenian Cowgirl, headlines the evening with her band, Little Tree, blending Middle Eastern themes with Americana and her own dusty desert folk-rock. "Her voice is a wellspring of feeling, and her guitar work is at once tender, tempered, and turbulent." Mitch Mosk (Atwood Magazine)

The Moon Shells (CT) draw from the roots of the music in Appalachia, Louisiana, West Africa, and elsewhere to explore what it can do and try to make something new. Fiddles, banjos, guitars, drums - bring your dancing shoes!

Michael Alan Hams opens the show at 7, singing original songs, as well as a few selected covers, and accompanying himself on piano. For fans of Nilsson/ Newman/ Waits/ Wonder/ Mitchell...
