El Concurso de la Canción Nacional Ecuatoriana (The Contest of National Ecuadorian Song) is an amateur competition open to performers of all ages. Participants showcase traditional Ecuadorian musical styles including albazos, pasillos, san juanitos, and tonadas. The competition unfolds over three elimination rounds, culminating in first-, second-, and third-place winners. The event has been held for more than two decades, with interruptions only due to COVID and other extraordinary social circumstances.
The organizing committee is deeply committed to preserving and celebrating Ecuadorian culture within the broader community. This event offers migrants a meaningful opportunity to share their heritage with those unfamiliar with Ecuador’s roots, while also passing these traditions on to future generations living far from their homeland. Four Celtic Voices takes listeners on a spellbinding journey through the magic and wonder of the Celtic Lands. Mesmerizing audiences with exceptional vocal harmonies and authentic Celtic instruments such as the bowed psaltery, flute and Celtic harp, Four Celtic Voices bring a riveting and enchanting music experience for their audiences.
The group was founded by Celeste Ray (bowed psaltery, piano, harmonium, vocals), and features Carol Crittenden on lead vocals and Maria Banks on harp, as well as an array of wonderful musicians, like Erin Hill (harp) and Allison Crossley (flute). Four Celtic Voices’ album, Four Leaf Clover, debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard World Music Chart and in the Top Ten on multiple Heatseekers Charts (May 2009). Their newer CD, Four Celtic Seasons, features songs for each changing season and has received rave reviews. They present a wide range of repertoire, from popular titles like Molly Malone and Loch Lomond to original psaltery dances, jigs and reels. | ||

The format is as follows.. The Chain Gang is celebrating 26 years as a band this year. Although they are a general cover band (60s-80s, all genres), over the years they have developed both a Beatles and a Billy Joel Tribute performance. Their Billy Joel Tribute performance has met critical acclaim every time they have done it. It covers the span of Billy’s career that will make you tap your feet throughout the performance. The band prides itself in adhering to the original arrangement for every song. If you close your eyes, you will think you’re at Billy’s concert. Kim Peralta is founder of the Jazzwomen and a lifelong musician/bandleader, now fully devoted to jazz drums. Kim studied in Cuba with drummer Alejandro Aguiar Rodriguez at Havana Music School. In 2021 she joined the SUNY Jazz Ensemble, leaving in 2024 to cultivate her own jazz projects.
Jennifer Vincent played, toured and recorded with the Duke Ellington Orchestra, Betty Carter, Abbey Lincoln, KD Lang, Patti Labelle, Grammy-nominated, all-female Latin jazz orchestra Cocomama, and Wynton Marsalis' "Jazz At Lincoln Center All-Stars". Sarah Jane Cion performed with Clark Terry, Etta Jones, Anita O'Day, Della Griffin, Ralph Lalama, Alan Harris, Carmen Leggio, Dr. Lyn Christie, Bucky Pizzarelli, and many other jazz greats.
