Ronald McDonald House New York supports families with children facing serious illnesses, providing a nurturing home with housing, meals, transportation, activities, and a caring community during challenging times.
This event will allow members of Resonance Music Studios to showcase their amazing talents at the beautiful Paramount Theater while helping families in need. Each participant is asked to meet a $300 fundraising goal that will have a tremendous impact, helping the brave families battling pediatric illness who call RMH-NY their home. RMH-NY staff will provide fundraising coaching and messaging to help make fundraising easy. Registration and spectator donations go towards each participant’s fundraising goal. Acclaimed saxophonist and composer Steve Frieder returns to the Bean Runner Cafe for a night of dynamic live jazz in the heart of Peekskill.
A versatile performer whose career spans jazz, funk, pop, and improvised music, Frieder has toured internationally with Boy George and Culture Club, performed the National Anthem at Citi Field for the New York Mets and at Madison Square Garden for St. John’s Basketball, and has recently released original works including Paul’s Promise and his latest EP series, Steve World Vol. 1 & 2. Known for his soaring improvisations and deeply expressive sound, Frieder brings together world-class musicians for an evening of inspired music-making. Audiences can expect a mix of adventurous originals, groove-driven pieces, and fresh takes on jazz traditions - all in the intimate, welcoming setting of the BeanRunner Café. $20 adm. | Ben Basile's debut solo album “Benergy” was released on May 2nd, 2025. Ben has performed and recorded with dozens of artists throughout his career; however he is best known for his work with Big D and The Kids Table and The Poughkeepsie Jazz Project. Basile believes bassists offer a unique perspective on composition and arrangement, crafting music from a ‘bottom-up’ approach. This philosophy shines through in the album’s thoughtful yet minimalistic arrangements. Each track brings a distinct sound, featuring an eclectic mix of musicians from Ben’s two musical worlds: ska and jazz.

The Poughkeepsie Jazz Project was created in 2012 with the goal of maintaining live jazz culture and community in Poughkeepsie, NY. Since its inception, The PKJP has presented a weekly jazz jam session accessible to all musicians and fans of live music. Over the past twelve years, the jam has been honored to host hundreds of musicians from the Tri-state area. This event is free to both participants and listeners. All with a passion for jazz are welcome.

Acclaimed Welsh instrumentalist Gwenifer Raymond will bring her celebrated American Primitive guitar style to Newburgh for a special concert event. Known for her passionate fingerpicking, Raymond is set to perform tracks from her highly anticipated third studio album, Last Night I Heard the Dog Star Bark, out September 5th on Canadian label We Are Busy Bodies on Tuesday, December 2nd, 2025 at 7pm at Untouchable (40 Liberty St, Newburgh, NY 12550),
Raymond’s new album is a mesmerizing fusion of ancient folk traditions and cosmic futurism, weaving occult folk horror with explorations of the stars. The lead single, “Jack Parsons Blues,” showcases Raymond’s virtuosic playing with Arabian flair and flamenco intensity, inspired by the 1940s rocket scientist and occultist Jack Parsons. Raymond is supported by Canadian instrumentalist Christo Graham, as well as the Hudson Valley’s own lo-fi folk artist The Spookfish and Bronx-based psychedelic blues duo Blood Boy. Tickets | ||
