The Poughkeepsie Jazz Project was created in 2012 with the goal of maintaining live jazz culture and community in Poughkeepsie, NY. Since its inception, The PKJP has presented a weekly jazz jam session accessible to all musicians and fans of live music. Over the past twelve years, the jam has been honored to host hundreds of musicians from the Tri-state area. This event is free to both participants and listeners. All with a passion for jazz are welcome.

NYC Guitarist Jeff Barone has developed a strong reputation with his recordings (Crazy Talk and Open Up) and live performances.
Jeff has worked with trumpeter Tom Harrell’s Quintet along with groups led by Bobby Caldwell, and Blue Note artist Reuben Wilson. He has performed at Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall and many festivals and concert halls throughout the U.S.. In addition, Jeff is active as a studio session guitarist and has worked on Broadway shows such as Dear Evan Hansen, Cats, and Wicked to name a few.
