Regina Spektor, the acclaimed Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter, pianist, and Purchase College alum, will perform at her alma mater in a Benefit Concert for ArtsWestchester. Regina Spektor is synonymous with New York City. The Russian-Jewish-American singer, songwriter, and pianist got her own sign on the Bronx Walk of Fame, as well as “Regina Spektor Day,” (June 11, 2019) proclaimed by Mayor Bill DeBlasio. The Grammy Award nominee first saw commercial success with the RIAA Platinum-certified LP, Begin to Hope, which includes the singles “On the Radio,” “Better” and “Samson,” as well as “Fidelity,” which climbed the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart. Spektor’s fifth album, Far (2009), and sixth album, What We Saw From the Cheap Seats (2012), both debuted at number three on the Billboard 200 albums chart.

A first-generation Italian-American born and raised in Westchester, New York, Anthony Rodia came out of the womb making people laugh. In his 20’s he tried a few open mics, but ultimately took a different career path as a finance manager of a luxury car dealership. In 2019, Rodia returned to comedy and left his day job to become a full-time stand-up comic. He hit the ground running and performed 100 shows in just nine months, and within three years Anthony has gained a massive fan base online and around the country. In a very short time, Anthony gained over 900,000 social media followers and his YouTube videos have amassed over 22 million views. Rodia’s comedy pulls from his real life and razor-sharp observations on marriage, parenthood, road rage, and everything else worthy of a social media rant. Rodia is currently selling out comedy clubs and theaters across the country.

 NYC Guitarist Jeff Barone has developed a strong reputation with his recordings (Crazy Talk and Open Up) and live performances.
Jeff has worked with trumpeter Tom Harrell’s Quintet along with groups led by Bobby Caldwell, and Blue Note artist Reuben Wilson. He has performed at Carnegie Hall, Merkin Hall and many festivals and concert halls throughout the U.S.. In addition, Jeff is active as a studio session guitarist and has worked on Broadway shows such as Dear Evan Hansen, Cats, and Wicked to name a few. He has also worked and/or recorded with actor/singers such as Linda Lavin, Kathleen Turner, Joely Fischer, Al Martino and Lucie Arnaz.
Jeff was featured in Scott Yanow’s book entitled “The Great Jazz Guitarists: the Ultimate Guide"(Hal Leonard Publishing 2013) and was featured on the cover of Just Jazz Guitar Magazine.
His Trio includes organist Ron Oswanski and drummer Marko Marcinko.

In addition to his work as a recording artist, concert performer, storyteller and activist, he’s acted on Broadway and worked extensively in television, radio and film. At the age of 80, Chapin is as vibrant and relevant as ever.
Chapin maintains two long and productive parallel careers, both as a respected contemporary folk artist and as a pioneer in the field of children’s music. With hundreds of songs in his repertoire, Chapin serves up a tasty mix of story songs, ballads, comedic and political songs, family music, sing-alongs, old-time folk classics and a favorite song or two of his late brother Harry’s. Tom accompanies himself on guitar, banjo and autoharp. In addition to his musical and media endeavors, Chapin has long been an advocate for issues of hunger and social justice, environmental causes, and a supporter of music and arts in public schools. |

The Poughkeepsie Jazz Project was created in 2012 with the goal of maintaining live jazz culture and community in Poughkeepsie, NY. Since its inception, The PKJP has presented a weekly jazz jam session accessible to all musicians and fans of live music. Over the past twelve years, the jam has been honored to host hundreds of musicians from the Tri-state area. This event is free to both participants and listeners. All with a passion for jazz are welcome.
