Band leader and award winning singer-songwriter Brad Cole notes, “The James Taylor Songbook is a treasure chest of melody, delicate structure and intimate cinematic storytelling. I’d put his songwriting in the same class as Cole Porter and Johnny Mercer, not to mention the ‘A list’ of his contemporaries. The fun and challenge here is to update each composition in a compelling way with this amazing band. Every tune has found its own unique blend of Bossa, Samba, Jazz, Rock, Soul, and Blues, all rich with harmony, and let’s not mince words here, this show rocks!!!!”
"Brad brings us JT's music not merely copied, but performed and reimagined with a great band led by an engaging singer and musician. I was blown away to hear so many of the songs I played with James night after night given a fresh new twist while maintaining the original emotion and musical "feel" of this great body of work." C J Martin is an English singer songwriter. He played in bands with friends from the age of 16. In 1988, after purchasing a Tascam Portastudio, he started writing andrecording his own songs. He has been on a s ong-writing journey ever since and has spent many hours in recording studios, using the developing technologies to explore his musical ideas.
His influences are many, including a love for Americana, classical music and Britishrock. His musical taste and style is so broad that it doesn’t really belong to any specific music genre, hence the title of his latest EP, ‘Eclectic Wilderness’. The six songs are very different, and a wonderful pastiche of the variety he has to offer an audience. A love of words enables him to explore an extremely wide-ranging mix of subjects in his own unique way. A passion for live performance, with just acoustic guitar and voice allows him to balance the technology offered in modern recording studios, with the simple desire of just presenting his songs | ||
