The Fortnightly Club of Catskill will be hosting its 18th Annual Rip Van Winkle Wine, Brew & Beverage Festival on May 10th, from 11:30 am to 5:00 pm at the Historic Catskill Point, 1 Main Street Catskill, located right on the Hudson River. Patrons will enjoy wine, craft beers, distilled beverages, cheeses, shopping for craft goods, food and live music entertainment throughout the day.

 The exhibit is curated by HASNA MUHAMMAD, a visual artist, writer, and educator whose work focuses on family, social justice, education, and the human condition.
The exhibit features the art of 10 members of her family including the photography, poetry, quilting, fine art, wearable art, and functional glassware of her family: Ihsaana Carter, Karina Castellanos, Guy Davis, Bill Day, Imani Day, Gail Miller, Hasna Muhammad, Jihaad Muhammad, Wali Ali, and the first-time, exclusive, opening night only exhibition of a painting by the late actor and activist, Ruby Dee. The opening will also be followed by the live music of WALI ALI featuring Bob Baldwin, Kevin Hill, Tony Lewis, and Sly Scott.
Exhibition opening is free and open to the public. Music performance follows and has a $20 admission. Make reservations in advance.

Celebrate the 150th anniversary of Maurice Ravel’s birth by traveling through a world of fairytales with his magical Mother Goose Suite. The HVSO is delighted to present cellist William Suh, 2023 winner of the HVP String Competition, performing Shostakovich’s evocative Cello Concerto No.1. The program continues with the exhilarating Short Ride in a Fast Machine by John Adams and Edward Elgar’s beloved Enigma Variations.  Tompkins Corners presents Ensemble Sangineto: Italian Strings and Voices for World Music, an eclectic group that seamlessly blends ancient harmonies and sonorities with modern rhythms.
Formed in 2000 by twins Adriano and Caterina Sangineto, the group blends ancient harmonies with modern rhythms. Children of renowned harp and psaltery maker Michele Sangineto, they were immersed in traditional music from an early age and later drew inspiration from Irish, Breton, and French styles.
Their sound combines harp, bowed psaltery, guitar, and rich three-part vocals—creating a light, joyful, and ethereal atmosphere.
Ensemble Sangineto explores genres from classical and folk to pop and Gregorian chant. Now joined by guitarist and bouzouki player Jacopo Ventura, the trio continues evolving and enchanting audiences worldwide with their unique blend of tradition and innovation.

 iLan Ban brings you the sounds of the Caribbean with Soca, Reggae and Steelpan.
Trevor ‘Bridges’ Bridgewater (bass) hails from St. Kitts. He has played with bands in St. Kitts and the U.S. and British Virgin Islands and has toured the U.S. with reggae bands The One Vibe and Rising Lion, and the now defunct Afro-Caribbean band Afroblue.
Audel Brown (keyboards) is from Nevis where he started playing organ in the church and later on was the keyboard player for one of St.Kitts’ top bands Toucan. He is known as one of the hardest working keyboard players on the music circuit in Brooklyn where he currently resides.
Clifton ‘Chico’ Anthony (steelpan) is from Antigua. He has played with two outstanding steel orchestras, Halcyon and Superfly, in Antigua. He worked in St. Maarten for a number of years as the arranger for Pott Steelers Steelband.
They will be joined by Abena Amory on vocals.

 The Warwick Valley Chorale is pleased to announce three upcoming performances of its 84th annual Spring concert. Led by conductor Ron DeFesi and accompanied by Gail Johnson, this season’s presentations will consist of Mozart’s Requiem in D minor, which the group will be singing again at Carnegie Hall in May, and the Holy Name of Mary Catholic Church in Croton-on-Hudson in June, as well.
These concerts will also feature solo performances from the winners of the Stanley Curtis Memorial Scholarship: First prize winner Abigail Yurchuk, a junior at Warwick Valley High School; second prize winner Abigail Straebler, a senior at Port Jervis High School; and third prize winner Taylor Longo, a senior at Valley Central High School.
