Kaia Kater is an indie folk and Americana artist whose jazz-fueled voice and deft songcraft have garnered acclaim from NPR’s Tiny Desk, The Guardian, Rolling Stone and No Depression. Through her artful banjo playing and lush songwriting, Kaia draws on influences rooted in Quebec, the Caribbean, and Appalachia, all of which reflect the diversity of her background; her ties to the Canadian folk music scene; her college years spent soaking up Appalachian music in West Virginia, her father’s experience growing up in Grenada, and her recent work in film composition.

Santa Barbara was assembled by multi-instrumentalist, bandleader, and composer Johnny Youngblood. Hudson Valley-based pianist/composer David Lopato has performed as a leader and sideman throughout the world. Lopato has performed with Dave Liebman, Dewey Redman, Joe Lovano, Mark Helias, Ray Anderson, Wadada Leo Smith, Jane Ira Bloom, Steve Gorn and numerous others. | Tompkins Corners will present a Québécois workshop and concert. Performing on violin, fiddle, guitar, mandolin, banjo, flute, and bodhran, Zigue’s music radiates an undeniable energy—an authentic connection born from tradition and family.
Claude Méthé and Dana Whittle are dynamic singers and prolific composers deeply inspired by traditional Québécois music. Since 1992, they have performed, composed, and shared their musical journey, blending Claude’s raw, emotional vocals and authentic fiddling with Dana’s powerful rhythms and vocals. Together, they create the kind of musical magic that defines family traditions. In 2019, their son Aimé Méthé joined the group, reinforcing their commitment to preserving musical heritage. In 2022, Mario St-Germain became the fourth member, adding further depth to their rooted style. A workshop will be held from 1:00 to 3:00, followed by a concert at 4:00. Brian Glover is a 40-year-old songwriter of 23 years from Richmond, KY. He sings a wide variety of genres of original songs that tell the stories of his diverse life experiences with raw honesty, sometimes with a hint of cheesy or ironic humor to laugh at tougher situations.
Brian released two albums in 2024, “Missed the Whole Damn Thing…” and “The Blue Album,” the latter which released online as three separate EPs. He was also nominated for three Josie Music Awards, including one for best southern rock song for “Standing at the Crossroads.” His song “Funny Money,” which hasn’t made it onto an album yet, is a semi-finalist for 2024 comedy song with the International Songwriting Competition. In 2025, Brian has released three singles to streaming so far, with at least five more releasing throughout the year. | ||
