Gigi Love
Singer-Songwriter, Americana
Hootenanny Cafe Mini Concerts
Online and on the radio, NY   See Map
At the age of 7, Gigi picked up her first guitar.
At 12, she was performing songs by Tanya Tucker and Emmylou Harris at major venues around Texas.
In her 20's she honed her chops playing the Salt Lake scene and touring around the west with The Gigi Love Band.
Her big break came in 2002. Gigi was invited to perform for the Closing Ceremonies of the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Utah. For 52,000 people, Gigi sang 2 original songs, wooed the crowd and soon after was signed onto the Mountain Dew College Circuit tour with sponsorship that lasted 7 years.
Yosemite Gold, the first song she wrote about a national park led to a full length album, National Parks Centennial Songs.
During 2015-2019 Gigi sang her national parks songs on Amtrak trains and in the parks at ranger programs and amphitheaters around the country. The enduring quality of her message gives her songs relevance at any time, especially now. She is a voice for the earth and preserving public lands.

Kaia Kater is an indie folk and Americana artist whose jazz-fueled voice and deft songcraft have garnered acclaim from NPR’s Tiny Desk, The Guardian, Rolling Stone and No Depression. Through her artful banjo playing and lush songwriting, Kaia draws on influences rooted in Quebec, the Caribbean, and Appalachia, all of which reflect the diversity of her background; her ties to the Canadian folk music scene; her college years spent soaking up Appalachian music in West Virginia, her father’s experience growing up in Grenada, and her recent work in film composition.

While influenced by folk music, Kater cites Nina Simone, Erykah Badu, and Lauryn Hill as important voices in shaping the direction of her artistic, social and political expression.
