Art Lillard’s has over thirty-five years' experience as a bandleader. He is known for his ability to "read" a room and responding sensitively to his audience. Art's ensembles are made up of highly seasoned, professional musicians. His On-Time Band has produced a recording, It's Time, on the Summit Records label. In addition to performing at various music venues, this band has played for such luminaries as Barbara Walters and Larry King, as well as New York City mayors, state governors, U.S. senators, and congressional representatives and a swing dance event held by Stardust Dance Productions.

In a diverse music career spanning several decades, keyboardist/arranger Pete Levin has performed and recorded with hundreds of Jazz and Pop artists – including Paul Simon, Annie Lennox, Miles Davis, David Sanborn, Lenny White, Wayne Shorter, Jaco Pastorius, Robbie Robertson and John Scofield.
Experience an extraordinary night of music as two iconic legacies unite in Glendale Train to Cripple Creek, honoring the timeless sounds of The New Riders of the Purple Sage and The Band, ft. Legacy Players. Each band will perform their own set before joining forces for an electrifying jam session that celebrates the best of American roots and jam band traditions. Michael Falzarano & Friends carry on the legacy of The New Riders of the Purple Sage, blending classics, Grateful Dead favorites, and The New Riders with the authenticity and passion of a seasoned performer. Falzarano, known for his time with Hot Tuna and The New Riders, continues to keep the psychedelic country rock spirit alive with dynamic performances. Professor Louie & The Crowmatix embody the rich legacy of The Band. A multi-instrumentalist and prolific producer, Louie earned his nickname from The Band’s Rick Danko and went on to co-produce and perform on their final three albums.

We conclude with the famous and highly energetic Libertango by Argentinian composer Astor Piazzolla. Don’t miss this very special evening!

Brett Mitchell was captivated by music from a young age through tunes on his parents’ car radio. Music from the 60s and 70s especially appealed to him. At age 14 he was introduced to drums by a friend and fell in love. He begged his parents for a set of his own and by age 16 was playing regularly in a band in venues he was too young to enter. But Brett, though a phenomenal drummer, wanted to write songs and knew he needed to learn guitar to do it. By 2004, a chance to record an album became available and he was ready. [Stereo} was born in 2005; Small House in 2007; Falling Apart at the Seams in 2011 and For the Most Part in 2021. All music and lyrics are by Brett and he played most of the instruments for each project. With For the Most Part, he decided to record it himself in his modest home studio. The award winning songwriter lives in Northern Michigan, constantly touring with his solo acoustic guitar or on drums with his 3 piece rock band, Brett Mitchell & the Mitchfits.

Award winning Singer Songwriter Brad Cole returns to the Towne Crier for an intimate acoustic set with Eric Nies on keys.
Lawrence Anthony, affectionately known as "LA", combines Barry White, Teddy Pendergrass and James Brown, to get his signature style - "old school romance" and fiery funk! A bass/baritone singer, LA has performed with the legendary Intruders as well as on many "Motown Review" assignments. He is currently singing bass, invoking the spirit of Motown, with The Shadows of the 60's Tribute to the Temptations. In 2016 LA became a member of the world renowned "Persuasions", replacing the founding member bass singer, Jimi Hayes, who passed after a prolonged illness. He also founded LA Soul – a very high powered "Funk band", covering funk from the 60's to 70's.
