Air Supply, the iconic duo comprising Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock, traces its origins back to 1975 when they met during rehearsals for “Jesus Christ Superstar” in Sydney, Australia. United by their shared passion for The Beatles and singing, they quickly formed a bond and began performing at various venues with just one guitar and two voices. Despite initial rejection from record labels, CBS Records recognized their unique style, leading to the birth of Air Supply after their first single soared to number one on the national charts.
Their breakthrough came with the album “Life Support,” featuring the hit song “Lost in Love,” which caught the attention of music executive Clive Davis and propelled Air Supply to international fame upon signing with Arista Records.

BeanRunner Cafe
201 S. Division Street @ Esther
Peekskill, NY   See Map
Stephen Clair pushed out his 10th studio album last fall. Known for his wry humor & guitar stylings, the Beacon, NY musician has been a fixture on the Americana, singer-songwriter and garage rock scenes since 1997's Altoona Hotel.

Clair came to prominence when the late Rita Houston added "Jen in Her Underwear" to rotation on WFUV, putting Clair on the map and the road.

The San Antonio Express calls him "a fearless performer." Power of Pop drives it home when they ask: "How does a genuinely visceral rock songwriter like Stephen Clair not get feted like the second fuckin' coming?"

"This music is a perfect homage to 1970s garage rock. Think in terms of Jonathan Richman & The Modern Lovers or if David Bowie had gotten a crack at producing The Velvet Underground. The major thing separating Clair from those artists, and artists like them is the joy within his music." - Steve Ovadia, Glide Magazine

"Where The Wild Things Are meets The Kinks" - Nippertown

City Winery Hudson Valley presents Crossfire Hurricane (Rolling Stones Tribute) on November 8th, 2024 at 8:00 PM

Crossfire Hurricane is the dynamic, engaging, live celebration of the World’s Greatest Rock and Roll Band.

This professional, seven-piece, ensemble recreates the energy and atmosphere of a Rolling Stones concert experience by pairing faithful renditions of studio classics with live versions of famous songs culled from The Stones’ legendary career.

CFH injects their live sets with the propulsive swagger of the blues, befitting the “tight but loose” philosophy of The Rolling Stones. Both casual fans and the most ardent devotees will be brought together in this salute to the live experience of one of the greatest bands of all time.

"...you play their music better than any Stones cover I've ever heard..." -Tom Pollard, host of Music of America podcast
