Paul Magliari in Concert
Acoustic
BeanRunner Cafe
201 S. Division Street @ Esther
Peekskill, NY   See Map
Paul JM, a local musician, songwriter, visual artist and sometimes playwright, has been residing in Peekskill for almost 15 years. Mostly drumming for bands such as Vinyl Siding, The Trike, Bear Mountain Sound Machine and bass work for Jazmo, he also performs his own works with guitar and voice. As founder of FUTURE ONE, he has released 2 full-length albums (Lost Mighway, Do We Need Another Psycho).

Paul's lyrics deliver abstract views on human issues inviting the listener to take their own journey. Everything seems so questionable these days and answers that at one time seemed to be easier are getting more blurred along the way. Human existence shouldn't be as complex as we make it out to be.

Donations to the musicians are greatly appreciated.

World Premiere Hip-Hop Musical

Hip Hop, Rap, and Musical Theater
Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival
2015 Route 9
Garrison, NY   See Map
An ice-cold, high-octane adaptation of Euripides’ play written in battle rap verse, this brand-new hip-hop version of Medea sheds contemporary light on the classic tragedy of family, power, and revenge – as stunning today as it was two thousand years ago. Quintero’s version of the story reignites the sacred rage of our ancestors and illuminates in the most human terms the extraordinary lengths that some people will travel to even the scales of justice.

By Luis Quintero.
Co-conceived and Directed By Nathan Winkelstein.
Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival Co-production with Red Bull Theater and Bedlam. Adapted From Euripedes.

Erin Ash Sullivan

Hootenanny Cafe Mini Concerts
Online and on the radio, NY   See Map
A New England native, Erin Ash Sullivan’s music reflects a deep sense of place, and her lyrics—sometimes heartfelt, sometimes funny—are always authentic and drawn from her lived experience. Steeped in the storytelling tradition, her songs capture where she is in this moment, enmeshed in a web of relationships as a mother, daughter, wife, sister, and friend, with lyrics that explore how we preserve our individuality even as we disappear in our connections to others.

Erin’s 2021 debut solo album, We Can Hear Each Other, reached #10 on the FAI DJ Chart, and she was a 2023 “Most Wanted” selection from the Falcon Ridge Folk Festival. She won the Rose Garden Coffeehouse Performing Songwriter Competition and the Mark Erelli Judge's Choice Award in the New England Songwriting Competition, and she has been a finalist in the Great American Song Contest and the Mid-Atlantic Song Contest. Her second album, Signposts and Marks, came out July 2024.
