He has brought back forgotten artists, popularized and reinvented folk guitar techniques, produced unforgettable shows and much original music for which he is loved and respected on the international scene. Gambetta's 2024 release Terra Madre (Mother Earth) is a musical key to open a world of tales and dreams related to the motherlands of infinite possible itineraries, and to the cries of pain and hope that rise from them. This Grammy-winning band stirs the unique energy of Louisiana’s music and culture in with the modern sounds and rhythms of punk and psychedelia, serving up a musical gumbo sure to please all palettes. With a recent feature on Jack White’s American Epic documentary, as well as opening spots on tour with Arcade Fire and the Violent Femmes, Lost Bayou Ramblers effortlessly straddles the lines between traditional and progressive … while putting on a foot-stomping, two-stepping, partner-twirling good time of a live show every time they hit the stage.
