A frequent presence on Blue Note records over the past several years, Blake has contributed his strong, limber pulse and airy precision to multiple leader releases from Blue Note artists including Dr. Lonnie Smith’s Breathe (2021), All in My Mind (2018) and Evolution (2016) and Kenny Barron’s Concentric Circles (2018).

Sunday 9:00 pm to 10:30 pm | Hank Woji Singer-Songwriter, Americana | Hootenanny Cafe Mini Concerts Online and on the radio, NY See Map |
A self-described ‘Jersey Shore Ex-Pat turned West Texas Desert Rat’, Hank cut his musical teeth as a bassist in the vibrant Asbury Park, NJ music scene of the 1980s & 90s. In Spring 2001 Hank moved to Houston, TX, and found his new musical voice as a Singer Songwriter, but it was his move, in 2009, to the far West Texas desert town of Terlingua, that has most reshaped his life and his music. Critics have described Hank’s music as “acoustic-wielding, sharply observed, Americana all the way” and being “in the best tradition of the Texas troubadours like Guy Clarke, Townes Van Zandt and Butch Hancock.” His new CD “Highways, Gamblers, Devils and Dreams” debuted in Sept. 2023 at #5 on the EuroAmericana chart and #3 on the FAI Folk chart. Over his 40+ year music career, Hank has performed with such notable artists as: David Amram, Butch Hancock, Jimmie Dale Gilmore, Bruce Springsteen and Pete Seeger. A proud union member of AFM Local 1000, he’s based in Terlingua, TX and tours nationally.

| Meet blues rocker Amythyst Kiah, “one of Americana’s great up-and-coming secrets,” (Rolling Stone), at the heart of the Black folk revival. With an unforgettable voice that’s both unfettered and exquisitely controlled, Amythyst Kiah gracefully interlaces potent vulnerability and personal revelation, offering a raw yet nuanced examination of grief, alienation, and the hard-won triumph of total self-acceptance.
Kiah’s Rounder Records debut, Wary + Strange, marks the glorious combination of two vastly different worlds: the iconoclastic alt-rock that first sparked her musical passion and the roots/old-time music scene where she’s found breakout success in recent years. With an unforgettable voice, the Tennessee-bred singer/songwriter expands on the uncompromising artistry she most recently revealed as part of Our Native Daughters—an all-women-of-color supergroup whose Kiah-penned standout “Black Myself” earned a Grammy Award nomination for Best American Roots Song

In January of 2004, Led Zeppelin guitarist, Jimmy Page himself, attended a Led Zepagain show at The House of Blues in Los Angeles.
