At 1pm Van Manakas and Wayne Lopes, two lifelong friends and musical collaborators come together for a rare performance of guitar improvisation. Wayne Lopes has been a mainstream performer in the NYC scene as well as performing internationally with his late wife Sylvie Dejiez. Van Manakas has recorded multiple jazz records and toured on four continents.

The Chorale also looks forward to performing Rutter’s Magnificat in a return trip to Carnegie Hall on Tuesday, December 19.

Moonunitt has been pushing the boundaries of psychedelic pop and rock ever since their inception in 2016. Infectious hooks and playful-yet-introspective lyrics, mixed alongside otherworldly guitar and synthesizer textures are just a few of the qualities that help define their distinctive sound.
Their energetic and engaging live performances have led the New York based band to receive comparisons to artists such as The Flaming Lips, Pink Floyd, The Beatles, Animal Collective, and so on.
