Kora’s 2019 full length album ‘In Sevens’ has drawn comparisons to Pete Seeger’s writing and Iris Dement’s voice. In Sevens spent four months on US Folk Radio charts and ‘I’d Be a Maria’, a von Trapp inspired song on the album, has surpassed 1.5 million streams on Spotify.

Flugelhorn player, composer, arranger and multi-instrumentalist Matt Finley hosts a small group of world-class performers for an hour of live jazz. This concert will feature the music of Brazil and original compositions by Matt and the band.
A pioneer of Brazilian jazz, having played professionally since 1963, Matt is often heard in the jazz trumpet chair in regional big bands, or even piccolo trumpet, flute or soprano sax as Director of the Smithfield Chamber Orchestra. This concert marks five years since his last small-group performance and will feature his favorite instrument, the flugelhorn. In the intimate atmosphere of the historic Smithfield Church, the sounds will be anchored by internationally-touring pianist Larry Ham. Everyone's favorite bassist Lou Pappas returns on acoustic bass, and Jeff 'Siege' Siegel brings his light touch on drums. The concert is sponsored by the Bang Family Concert Series. Tad Shull is a master of the classic tenor sound modeled on Coleman Hawkins, Don Byas and Lucky Thompson, with touches of Coltrane and Rollins. His band always swings hard, whether on bop, ballads, or showtunes, or on funk or Latin grooves.
Shull is a veteran of the New York City jazz scene with two generations of experience and long apprenticeship. He has a number of highly regarded records on Criss-Cross Jazz and has performed in the City’s top venues. | The Rondout Valley Food Pantry is excited to present a night of singing by talented, local teens. One hundred percent of the door will go to support our mission of providing nutrition to struggling individuals and families in our community. Our performers have graciously volunteered to entertain the house and raise funds for the Pantry’s decades-long efforts to collect food from food hubs, grocery stores, and local farms and distribute them to the community. Last year the Pantry distributed over 80,000 meals. Come enjoy some live local talent and support the Rondout Valley Food Pantry.

Kitty Donohoe is an Ann Arbor, Michigan based songwriter and Emmy recipient.
A life-long songwriter, she has been on the folk circuit for many years, traveling with her guitar and cittern (a large mandolin), regaling audiences with her own 'folky, Irishy, Canadianish' music. She is best known for her 9/11 song, written on September 11, 2001, called 'There Are No Words', for which she received a Michigan Emmy. The song subsequently was used in a film, and she was invited to perform it at the dedication of the 9/11 Memorial at the Pentagon in 2008. Kitty has recived high praise from several reviewers, including Rich Warren of WFMT, Chicago, who calls her "far above and beyond most singer-songwriter's" and included her in his list of '50 of the most significant songwriters of the past 50 years.' She is currently re-releasing her second album, 'As Sparks Fly Upward' (long out of print but still in demand) and an all-instrumental project. | ||
