The BeanRunner Cafe welcomes back "A Glimpse of Soul". This local band has gained a strong following in the Hudson Valley area presenting a volatile mix of classic soul, funk, blues and rock and a sound that makes you want to tap your feet, pound the table and get up and dance.
Fronted by lead vocalist Michael Attanasio, the group draws on music from Al Green, Marvin Gaye, Joe Cocker, Sam & Dave and many more. The band is Adam Krauss on guitar, Renato Geslani on bass, Peter Ronick on drums, Dan Baitch and Scott Kenyon on keyboards and vocals and Adam Davidson on sax and vocals. Seating fills quickly. Robert Bidney is a Southwest Florida-based singer-songwriter whose songs are both relatable and have a strong commercial sensibility, and whose messages are as strong as his melodies. Accompanying himself on both guitar and keyboards, he is a seasoned performer who connects with his audiences through his infectious energy and emotional performances. He has released three albums to date: Thank Goodness (2023), Rush of Hope (2019), and It’s All About The Love (2015) – all of which are available on the major digital download and streaming sites. He’s also written and produced national radio and TV jingles, and other artists have covered his songs. Not one to be pigeonholed into a particular musical style, Bidney writes and performs songs in a folk, Americana and folk-rock vein and has incorporated country, pop and musical theater stylings in his work as well. | ||

Shinyribs defies genres as a sonic melting pot of Texas Blues, New Orleans R&B funk, horn-driven Memphis Soul, country twang, border music, big band swing, and roots-rock. Carlos Jimenez, is an extraordinary flute player and vocalist as well as composer and band leader of Jazz, Latin jazz and Salsa. His family moved to Villalba, Puerto Rico when he was 6 years old and it was there that his musical training began. Inspired by Mongo Santamaria, he pursued becoming a jazz flutist. He studied classical flute at the Music Conservatory of Westchester under Dave Fenucane and expanded into jazz, studying with master musicians Mario Rivera; Dave Valentin; Bobby Porcelli; Mitch Frohman; Vinnie Rickitelli; Rolando Briseno and Enrique Fernandez. He also studied harmony/voice with master pianist, Mike Longo, Alfredo Valdes Jr. and Hilton Ruiz.
Cárlos has recorded and performed with Hilton Ruiz, Hector Martignon, Edy Martinez, Barry Harris, Earl May, LeRoy Williams, Oscar Hernandez, Stephane Rongetz, Sonny Bravo, and Dave Valentin. Heron Valley is a young, high energy band hailing from Scotland, with roots that lie in Scottish and Irish traditional music, It features the angelic voice of lead singer Abigail Pryde, who also plays fiddle with the group. Heron Valley has performed for festival crowds in France, Italy, and the UK, as well as in the U.S. which they are now touring for the third time.

Richie Goods is one of the most versatile and accomplished bass players on the scene. He has recorded and toured with the Headhunters, Louis Hayes and the Cannonball Adderley Legacy Band, Lenny White, Mulgrew Miller, Whitney Houston, Christina Aguilera and Chris Botti to name a few.
Chien Chien Lu is a vibraphonist, percussionist, and composer from Taiwan. Classically trained and a former member of the internationally renowned Ju Percussion Group, she possesses an inherent sense of lyricism no matter the musical environment, whether it be swinging post-bop, avant-garde improv, or modern classical music. Together, Goods and Lu formed CONNECTED in 2020 to create music that would unify people and invoke imagery of love and peace.
