City Winery Hudson Valley Presents Richard Thompson live in concert on July 27th at 8pm
“THE FINEST ROCK SONGWRITER AFTER DYLAN AND THE BEST ELECTRIC GUITARIST SINCE HENDRIX.” – LOS ANGELES TIMES In 2017, Ivor Novello Award-winning and GRAMMY® Award-nominated legend Richard Thompson gave himself up to the music itself. Picking up a guitar, emotions echoed through his deft fleet-fingered fretwork, poetic songwriting, impassioned picking. Those transmissions comprise his nineteenth solo album, 13 Rivers. “I never really think about what songs mean,” he admits. “I just write them. Some of them reflect on what happened a few months ago or even a year ago. It’s a process of surveying my life and where I was at.”

Friday 7:00 pm | Grateful Dead Tribute at Torne Valley Winery! with Gratefully Yours Rock (classic) | Torne Valley Vineyards Torne Valley Road Hillburn, NY See Map |
Gratefully Yours is a Grateful Dead inspired band, based out of New Paltz, NY. "Cover band” is an extremely misleading term when it comes to the music of Gratefully Yours. Their willingness and ability to improvise, and their openness to spontaneity and the energy of the moment lie at the core of their performances and truly sets them apart. In the very best tradition of The Grateful Dead, it is this openness that allows the crowd to become a part of the creative process and results in a synergy between the band and the crowd that is unique and truly special. It is that magic that Gratefully Yours truly aims to “cover” and pay tribute to.Details

Saturday 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm | Yellow Brick Road with Gerald Brann Pop/Soft Rock | The Sugar Loaf Performing Arts Center 231 Creamery Pond Rd Chester, NY See Map |
| There is no other performer who looks and sounds so much like Elton John, nor any tribute act that provides the experience of being at an Elton John concert the way Gerald Brann and Yellow Brick Road do. Brann not only bears an uncanny resemblance to the international superstar — complete with gap-toothed smile and many of his mannerisms — but recreates Elton John's vocals and playing to a tee. To capture the essence of the piano man, Brann dresses in replica costumes and wears Elton's trademark outrageous glasses. A trained jazz pianist, Brann has been a lifelong Elton John fan, and his admiration for and love of his music comes shining through as he plays one hit after another with remarkable likeness to the pop music icon. Brann and his talented five-piece band evoke audience participation throughout the entire show — whether singing along to "Rocket Man" and "Your Song," swaying to "Candle in the Wind," or hopping and bopping to "Crocodile Rock." suagrloaftix.com | ||

![]() Sunday 11:00 am to 2:00 pm | Evocative Jazz, Exotic Lounge with Duo Loco; Brian Melick & Studio Stu Jazz, Alternative, and Comedic. Evocative Jazz, Exotic Lounge | Origins Cafe 558 Beaver Meadow Rd Cooperstown, NY See Map |
Duo Loco is the most basic form of jazz interpretation, drum and bass/voice duo, a sort of, ‘Duja Vey’ (the feeling that none of this ever happened before).
This eccentric jazz duo takes the very best in classic jazz and pop, and twists and bends them into what they call ‘evocative jazz, exotic lounge’. In this ‘duo virtuosi’, nothing is sacred.....improv is rampant...lyrics are changed at will...notes and chords are bent and perverted...familiar languages are obliterated....harmonies are sweet and sour perfection, and yet, serious, sophisticated and uncompromising in execution. The is one in-tune, out-of-tune, offbeat outfit. Explore
