![]() Saturday 11:00 am to 1:00 pm | Evocative Jazz, Exotic Lounge with Duo Loco; Studio Stu & Brian Melick Jazz, Alternative, and Contemporary. Evocative Jazz, Exotic Lounge | Kingston Farmers Market John Street & Crown Street Kingston, NY See Map |
Duo Loco is the most basic form of jazz, interpretation, drum and bass/voice duo, a sort of, ‘Duja Vey’ (the feeling that none of this ever happened before).
This eccentric jazz duo takes the very best in classic jazz and pop, and twists and bends them into what they call ‘evocative jazz, exotic lounge’. In this ‘duo virtuosi’, nothing is sacred.....improv is rampant...lyrics are changed at will...notes and chords are bent and perverted...familiar languages are obliterated....harmonies are sweet and sour perfection, and yet, serious, sophisticated and uncompromising in execution. The is one in-tune, out-of-tune, offbeat outfit. Explore

Elmore Magazine championed their “remarkable musical dexterity with songs that bask in a genuine roots regimen and a sense of timeless tradition.” Big Takeover Magazine described their convergence of minds, souls and cultures as “Not just music forged from myriad sounds and cultural styles garnered from genre and geography but the music of the world, about the world.”
