 Marking HCMC's 300th regular season concert in our 30 year history, we present renowned vocalist, Kenneth Overton, lauded for blending his opulent baritone with magnetic, varied portrayals that seemingly “emanate from deep within body and soul.” Mr. Overton’s symphonious baritone voice has sent him around the globe, making him one of the most sought-after opera singers of his generation. He is a 2020 GRAMMY award winner for Best Choral Performance in the title role of Richard Danielpour’s 'The Passion of Yeshua' with the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and Chorus, conducted by JoAnn Falletta.
Mr. Overton’s program for us is a celebration of American Music, including spirituals, classical art songs and selections from The Great American Songbook.

Vibrant, innovative folk-pop singer/songwriter Rachael Sage joins multi-instrumental Americana duo Annalyse & Ryan in bringing their award-winning songs and stories to the Towne Crier. As friends and neighbors in the Hudson Valley, the two acts share a love of musical activism, poetic lyrics, and dynamic melodies. Annalyse & Ryan will be celebrating the release of their brand new EP Trilogy, and Rachael Sage will present new material from her forthcoming album The Other Side.

These experiences have shaped, informed, & inspired his songwriting. Fred writes songs & poems that strive to reveal the contradictions in our society between appearance & reality, & he spends most of his time channeling his anger over the conditions of life that exist for so many into productive activities. He is interested in the role music & the arts play in raising awareness of societal issues & inspiring people to study & act on pressing challenges of our time. His mission & his music are one: RALLY FOLK! His last CD, TODAY AGAIN, charted #7 on the Folk Radio Charts & his newest project, WE ARE MIGHTY: Sustenance for the Struggle had its title track reach #15.  Considered one of the Japanese most gifted jazz musicians, Unno mesmerizes his audiences with his technique, creativity, balanced sense and beautiful tone.
Born in 1980 in Tokyo, Japan Tadataka Unno began playing the piano at age 4. At age 9 he started to play jazz. He attended Tokyo University for Music and Fine Art where he studied music composition. Upon graduation, Unno joined Yoshio Suzuki's trio, where his career took off.
In 2008, Unno moved to the U.S. and, in 2010, was selected to attend Betty Carter's Jazz Ahead at the Kennedy Center in D.C. and the Jazz Rising Stars Program of Ravinia Festival in Chicago. Unno has performed with numerous jazz greats, including Winard Harper, Clifton Anderson, Eddie Allen, Hassan J.J. Shakur, Jerome Jennings, Essiet Essiet, Jim Cammack, Yasushi Nakamura, Jazzmeia Horn and many more. He is a member of Jimmy Cobb Trio and toured as a member of the Roy Hargrove Quintet until Roy’s passing.

Sloan is a songwriter, singer, performer, teacher, mentor and collaborator. A unique hybrid of pop, folk, jazz and blues, Wainwright’s music is unified by her melodious tone and rich, powerful contralto. Over the course of a 30-year career in music, she has played the great concert halls, the most storied listening rooms and top music festivals while also teaching at the nation’s leading music retreats. She has inspired hundreds of students on their creative journeys and collaborated with dozens of musicians, writers, choreographers and performers.
