Sunday 9:00 pm to 10:30 pm | Sarah Goslee Reed Singer-Songwriter | Hootenanny Cafe Mini Concerts Online and on the radio, NY See Map |
Sarah grew up with music. Her father played the bassoon and her mother played the cello and string bass, and she fell in love with the folk music of the sixties and the Beatles. Based on her knowledge of the violin, she taught herself to play guitar and learned songs by listening to records. A professional microbiologist, songwriting is as much of a passion as singing. Several songs have received awards, been arranged for choirs and orchestrated as instrumentals.
Locally, Sarah is best known for her work with children: song-writing in schools and performing for students for over twenty years. She works with special needs campers and counselors at Camp Nuhop and spent many years in the duo Prairie Orchid. Recently, she started the Summer Music Garden, an outdoor concert series that includes science activities and music. Sarah’s newest CD is The Healing, preceded by ten others, including some for kids and families. | ||
