Meg Tennant is a Canadian songwriter originally from Northern Ontario and currently based in Vancouver, British Columbia. She has performed at festivals and songwriter showcases, and has opened shows for Eliza Gilkyson and Tom Russell at Vancouver’s Rogue Folk Club.
Her latest CD, “Echoed Light”, co-produced with Toronto roots rock songwriter Mark Ripp, offers up some hope, comfort and clarity. “Echoed Light” was included in Roots Music Canada’s list of 11 Favourite New Discoveries of 2019. Meg's songs have been recorded and performed by Canadian folk, ragtime and bluegrass artists, and her A Capella song “Bucket of Love” continues to be performed by choirs in Canada, the U.S., Australia and Sweden. | ||

The public is invited to the Annual Christmas Concert and Tea at The Smithfield Church in the Smithfield Valley of Amenia, NY at 4 PM on Saturday, December 3, 2022. This year's program features the Smithfield Chamber Orchestra under the direction of Matt Finley. Music ranges from classical, pop and jazz to holiday favorites.
The ten-piece instrumental ensemble includes flautists Michelle Demko and Lynnette Benner, clarinetists Charlie Gray and Kay Sutka, violinist Rob Murphy, violist Piotr Kargul, cellist Jean Vilkelis, bassist Lou Pappas, Larry Ham on piano, and arranger Matt Finley on trumpet and flugelhorn. KJ Denhert is an award-winning songwriter, guitarist, vocalist and bandleader living in Ossining, New York.
