Lindsey Webster Album Release! "Reasons"The FALCON
1348 Route 9W
Marlboro, NY   See Map
Neo-soul R&B artist Lindsey Webster combines an admirable natural talent with a genuine, accessible stage presence. After the release of her 5th full-length studio album, “A Woman Like Me”, Lindsey releases her latest - #6 - titled “Reasons”.

Webster always manages to pull out all the stops to show us what more she can do, what hidden recesses her instrument has to bear. A Woman Like Me’s two vocal tour de forces close out the project: an original, “Always Love Me,” and a cover, “Somewhere Over The Rainbow.” - Soul Tracks

VIDEO: Perspective: https://youtu.be/Ck2jRLmwK_s

www.lindseywebstermusic.com

From the first note, Lindsey Webster captivates listeners. Her rich, soulful voice enchants a dedicated following who connect with the raw emotion she shares with them. As a Soul R&B artist, she combines an admirable natural talent with a genuine, accessible stage presence.

In 2009, Lindsey met her partner, Keith Slattery, and started performing professionally. Together, with a band of world-class musicians, they’ve performed thousands of shows in well known jazz venues and many major jazz festivals throughout the world.

The success of her second album You Change and achieving the only vocally driven song to hit #1 on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz chart for four weeks (beating our Sade’s previous record of three weeks) caught the eye of Shanachie Entertainment, whom she signed with in 2016 for the release of Back To Your Heart. Lindsey has now achieved 8 Top 10 Billboard songs and 2 # 1 songs on the smooth jazz chart. She also was named Billboard Smooth Jazz Artist of the year for 2016 and 2017!

The release of Lindsey’s sixth full-length studio album, Reasons, contains great songwriting and amazing musical performances, featuring the likes of veteran music industry A-listers Nathan East, Randy Brecker, Brian Culbtertson, and Nicolas Payton.

Here’s a word from Lindsey on her latest release: “I don’t know how, but it seems that with each album we get better than the last,” she explains, humbly. “I feel that Reasons is our strongest album from a production standpoint so far. And the fact that Keith and I have worked together meticulously since day one has really helped give our sound its uninhibited originality”. The album will be the sixth one produced by Lindsey Webster and Keith Slattery.

Phoenicia, NY   See Map
Gifted Swedish songstress Sofia Talvik is no stranger to our shores. Vagabonding across 47 states in her old Winnebago, she’s dug deep into the heart of Americana and channeled it into beautifully crafted songs through the lens of her Nordic roots.

No Depression magazine calls Sofia, “A singer/songwriter who is able to evoke the essence of Laurel Canyon circa the ‘60s as expressed in the work of Joni Mitchell, Judy Collins, Buffy Sainte-Marie, and others.” To the delight of audiences, she does so with a voice in a league with those greats. “Talvik’s voice is a thing of singular beauty,” notes Goldmine Magazine.

The concert will be held at Flying Cat Music's new venue, inside the Phoenicia United Methodist Church (not the attached hall ). $15 advance tickets can be bought online at Flying Cat's website or tickets may be available for $18 cash (only) at the door, which opens at 7:00 PM. “LISTEN TO THE RED ROCK is a beautiful compilation of songs inspired by the wild and expansive landscape of Utah’s Red Rock wilderness region. The album brings together a number of award-winning folk, Americana, and bluegrass artists; Anke Summerhill, Cosy Sheridan, Gigi Love, Kate MacLeod, Leraine Horstmanshoff, Marv Hamilton, and Meander Cat, who have donated their songs in passionate support of the passage of America's Red Rock Wilderness Act (ARRWA). Topics range from songs that exalt the beauty and majesty of these lands to poignant, heartfelt reminders of how cheaply we give away our greatest treasures, and songs about the fight to preserve them amidst great pressures. Gigi’s hope is that listeners will feel inspired by the message and will petition their senators and representatives nationwide to support this bill.”

Born and raised in a working class suburb of St. Louis, Shawn Barker took a schoolboy love for singing in church with his family and turned it into a career, a one of a kind tribute to Johnny Cash, one of America’s greatest musical icons. Universally considered the pre-eminent Johnny Cash tribute artist, Barker has an uncanny resemblance to Cash. His strikingly similar looks, voice, and spot-on mannerisms revitalize the true character of Mr. Cash himself, and have led Barker to an immensely successful career performing his tribute to the original “Man In Black”.
