Ten young dancers and two musicians perform the cycle of life with explosive energy, marked by the urban chaos of the Nigerian mega-city, Lagos. “Re:INCARNATION” pays homage to the wealth and profusion of Nigerian music, its Afro-beat roots being currently revisited by dancehall, hip-hop, and electro. ![]() Friday 7:00 pm | Jeffery Broussard & The Creole Cowboys | The FALCON 1348 Route 9W Marlboro, NY See Map |
![]() "Jeffery Broussard has long been respected as one of the greatest accordion players to grace our Creole culture, and for that matter, the world." - Don Cravins, Sr., Mayor, Opelousas, LA, Zydeco Capital of the World VIDEO: I'm Coming Home: https://youtu.be/NUF_iSpnlHs http://creolecowboys.com/ Jeffery Broussard is one of the most influential accordionists and vocalists in modern Zydeco music and continues to be one of the genre’s most dynamic performers and innovators. Born in Lafayette, LA, Jeffery’s music career started very early, playing drums in his father’s band, the renowned Delton Broussard & The Lawtell Playboys. Although he left school for farm work to help his parents, Jeffery would sneak in to the house, get his daddy’s accordion and teach himself to play. It was in his brother Clinton’s band, Clinton Broussard & The Zydeco Machines that Jeffery played in public for the first time. It is possible that without the experience of struggle and hard times that he could not sing, play with emotion and soul. His range is seldom seen in Zydeco - traditional songs of the old masters to originals, singlenote and triple-note accordion to fiddle. Whether he is playing a festival stage in front of thousands of dancers, a small theater of seated patrons, giving an interview, teaching a lesson or playing at a trailride, his warmth, love of the music, and talent shine. Jeffery Broussard is well, the real deal. Dedicated to preserving and promoting the Creole culture and traditional Zydeco music, Jeffery plays with passion and commitment to carry on his daddy’s legacy.

![]() Saturday 7:00 pm | Still Married After All These Years! with The Ed Palermo Big Band | The FALCON 1348 Route 9W Marlboro, NY See Map |
![]() "Wonderful, breathtaking, fantastic, exhilarating, great sound, great production, great musicianship...I run out of superlatives..." – paradoxone.uk "[Ed Palermo]...one of the greatest musicians and arrangers in the world." – Christian McBride, American jazz bassist, and six-time Grammy Award winner "Palermo developed these charts during years of live shows with these musicians, and their mastery of the material shows in the performances, which turn on a dime yet feel fierce with spontaneous invention.... Palermo’s arrangements and these performances are precise, dedicated, raucous and incisive—just like Zappa himself." – JazzTimes https://www.palermobigband.com/ This eighteen-piece ensemble - five woodwind players, four trumpeters, three trombonists, two keyboardists, guitar, violin, bass, drums, and vocalists throughout - has been performing jazz arrangements of Zappa’s music regularly since 1994. But what started out as faithfully antic versions of the composer’s complex, fiendishly clever music has expanded to reflect Palermo’s passion for Todd Rundgren, British psychedelia and progressive rock. This often entails head-spinning in-jokes, such as performing Traffic’s 1971 tune “The Low Spark Of High Heeled Boys” over Zappa’s bass line for his composition “Chunga’s Revenge.” The Ed Palermo Big Band performs monthly at the Iridium in Manhattan and regularly at The Falcon in Marlboro, NY, where Palermo often scripts elaborate thematic evenings. At one such event, vocalist Napoleon Murphy Brock—a longtime Zappa vocalist who frequently works with Palermo—sang the line “I’m never getting married” (from Jimmy Webb’s “The Worst That Could Happen”) as Palermo stumbled onstage in prison stripes for an evening dedicated to his 34th wedding anniversary. Most of Palermo’s humor, however, lies in the music’s richly textured citations and juxtapositions. The scores themselves are funny. “I wouldn’t call my thing a comedy show,” he said, “but it’s got a lot of humor in it. I often think that jazz takes itself way too seriously. Maybe that makes my thing stand out a little more.” Happy Together: https://youtu.be/0Ft46dKsqvo

![]() Thursday 7:00 pm | Mark Hummel's Blues Survivors w/ Rusty Zinn | The FALCON 1348 Route 9W Marlboro, NY See Map |
![]() - New Yorker "Rusty Zinn is the real deal. To say this is the best blues release of the year is an understatement.” - The Memphis Commercial Appeal Hummel - My Back Scratcher: https://youtu.be/GVAayWecTqM Zinn ~ Wasted: https://youtu.be/V4KasRz-xuY Mark Hummel http://www.markhummel.com/ Grammy nominee, two time Blues Music Award winner, top harmonica player, singer, bandleader, author, and entrepreneur, Mark Hummel has been active since the early 70s, when he moved to Berkeley from LA. Hummel has over thirty recordings to his credit and is the creator of the Blues Harmonica Blowouts he started in 1991. Hummel's mastery of the blues genre, mixed with a knowledge of where the music comes from, is rare in this idiom. Mark has recorded/toured w/Snooky Pryor, Lowell Fulsom, Eddie Taylor, Brownie McGhee, Barbara Dane, Jimmy Rogers, Charlie Musselwhite, Billy Boy Arnold, Huey Lewis, Lazy Lester, Anson Funderburgh (his co-partner in his project Golden State/Lone Star), Charles Brown, Willie Big Eyes Smith & many more. Hummel has been steadily touring worldwide since 1984. Rusty Zinn https://www.alligator.com/artists/Rusty-Zinn/ Zinn’s raw talent and deep feeling for the blues have earned him gigs and recordings with many blues masters, including Jimmy Rogers, Snooky Pryor, Luther Tucker, James Cotton, Mark Hummel and Kim Wilson, who co-produced his first album, SITTIN' & WAITIN’ (1996). “The cuts on CONFESSIN’ play like time-capsuled tunes in a forgotten Memphis jukebox.” - Blues Revue If rompin’, stompin’ pedal-to-the-metal blues is your thing, here’s a record for you.” - Vintage Guitar Time after time, Oakland-based bluesman Rusty Zinn’s raw, burning guitar work and soulful vocals leave listeners open-mouthed in amazement. Zinn’s jumping blend of 1940s and 1950s West Coast swing/blues and gritty Chicago blues takes over. Zinn has electrified audiences around the world with his fiery live shows and critically acclaimed recordings, both as a leader and as a sideman.
