Scoot & Marlena have been performing acoustically together for the last few years. They have played from New York City to Albany. They performed at the United Nations for the Committee of Childrens Rights regarding Gun Violence in schools.

Scoot just released his second solo album called Empty Bottles to rave reviews and is being played on the radio across the US. Scoot & Marlena play a unique brand of Country Music. You can call it Americana, Alt Country, or Cowpunk. They will get your foot a tapping.

The Kulprits are a brand new band started by Scoot and Marlena. They wanted to give their music a little kick so they put together a band of seasoned musicians. They joined forces with Steve Geller, Tom Wessells, and Bruce Meyer. They bring a special touch to some of Scoot's songs and to some Kulprits originals. It's Country, it Rocks, it's the Kulprits.

with Jeremy Pelt | “Soundtrack” Album Release

FEATURING ~

Jeremy Pelt / Trumpet
Chien Chien Lu / Vibraphone
Victor Gould / Piano, Fender Rhodes
Vicente Archer / Acoustic & Electric Bass
Allan Mednard / Drums

Presented by
Absolutely Live Entertainment. Curated by Danny Melnick

http://jeremypelt.net/

Jazz trumpeter, composer and author Jeremy Pelt has never shied away from themed albums, so one might expect something cinematic from the enigmatically-titled Soundtrack. However, as Pelt himself explains, “I've certainly done plenty of concept albums, but in this case there's nothing I'm on a soapbox about. It's been a tough time for all of us, so let's not worry about sending messages for a minute. Here we are, playing some songs and having some fun.”

Having fun the band may be, but along the way they make some compelling jazz, weaving a beguiling tapestry of kaleidoscopic colors with Pelt's sultry and communicative trumpet to the fore surrounded by Chien Chien Lu's hypnotic vibraphone and pianist Victor Gould's subtle splashes of the Fender Rhodes. The inclusion of Brittany Anjou on Moog synthesizer and the rarely-heard Mellotron may imply a real electronica aspect present on the recording but, quite to the contrary, Pelt uses them sparingly and incorporates them brilliantly into the group's tonal palette. Their appearance does occasionally bring a certain 70s independent jazz vibe to the proceedings but they far from define the sound of the group.

Anne Drummond's silvery flute on two tracks adds yet another dimension to the already wide spectrum of colors on this latest album in the discography of the sometimes surprising but always inspired Jeremy Pelt.

Jane Godfrey
Singer-Songwriter. Urban Campfire Cabaret
Hootenanny Cafe Mini Concerts
Online and on the radio, NY   See Map
Growing up in a large family of musicians and artists, St. Louis native Jane Godfrey has been singing and playing guitar most of her life and found her true calling when she ventured into songwriting in midlife. At age
50 Jane boldly stepped up to the mic for her first solo gig, earning her the designation “Bravest of introverted entertainers”. Jane’s songs showcase strong melodies and an eclectic mix of folk, bluegrass, rock, blues, and beyond. After growing frustrated trying to fit her songs neatly into one category Jane created her own genre: “Urban Campfire Cabaret”. Through her music, Jane strives to honor the ordinary and reveal the beauty and little truths in everyday life. Jane performs locally and nationally as a solo artist and as half of the duo, CatBird, with Chicago singer/songwriter Sue Fink. She occasionally performs with siblings and other family members, whose harmonies and musicianship grace Jane’s 2007 CD Choose Beauty and her 2019 release Imagine We Have Wings.

Melvin Seals & JGB  LIVE at Bearsville Theater
Melvin Seals has been a powerful presence in the music industry for over 30 years with a long-established reputation as a performer, recording artist and producer. Melvin is most revered for his powerful, high-spirited, Hammond B-3 organ, and keyboards in the Jerry Garcia Band. Melvin spun his B-3 magic with the Jerry Garcia Band for 18 years and in doing so helped pioneer and define what has now become “Jam Band Music”. From blues to funk to rock to jazz, Melvin Seals serves up a tasty mix with a little R&B and gospel thrown in to spice things up.
Melvin and JGB bring an intuitive, expressive style, soul, spontaneity and remarkable chops to the table. John Kadlecik on lead guitar and vocal duties, John-Paul McLean’s savory bass, Jeremy Hoenig on the drums and, of course, a heapin’ helpin’ of the wizard’s magic on Hammond B-3 Organ and keyboards.

Sara Milonovich & Daisycutter | "Northeast"The FALCON
1348 Route 9W
Marlboro, NY   See Map
Sara Milonovich & Daisycutter perform music from their new album "Northeast" (2021)

“Northeast throws down the country gauntlet, representing a rural heartache to rival any Nashvillian, sad-luck troubadour...The pluck and twill of strings weave around the beat as it barrels into the tragic and beautiful crush of human frailty.” - Chronogram
Magazine

“[A] cathartic song about last good-byes and the perplexities of the human condition…” - Americana Highways

“Indie roots-rock with an edge” - Nippertown

"What Nashville would sound like if it was just a bit smarter." - The Daily Freeman

http://www.saramilonovich.com

New York alt-country singer/songwriter/fiddler Sara Milonovich offers an ode to the blue collar north on her album Northeast.

With her band Daisycutter, she explores down-and-out cities, abandoned farms, rural poverty, substance abuse, heartbreak, resilience, and hope - all things the Northeast shares with the rest of blue collar America…except that it also happens to be a lot colder.

Based in New York’s Hudson Valley, this "downtown/upstate" band combines a cinematic city view with a bracing dose of rural realism, fusing indie roots-rock with an alt-country barbed wire edge. Fronted by singer/fiddler Milonovich, Daisycutter blazes a unique musical trail with their "mix of bluegrass and a twinge of political-punk attitude and lyrics." (Jeff Sweatman, The Corner)

Milonovich, who grew up on a working farm in rural northern New York, was leading her own band by age nine (around the time she learned to drive a tractor.) She has won awards for fiddling, singing and composing, and has performed throughout North and South America, Europe and beyond.

http://www.gabrielbutterfield.com/

The eldest son of the late, great Chicago Harmonica player Paul Butterfield, the first white Harmonica player to develop a style original and powerful enough to place him in the pantheon of Blues greats. Gabriel Butterfield grew up on the road, on tour with his father; the music is literally in his blood.

Like his father, music is the driving passion of Gabriel's life. In 2012, again residing in Woodstock, New York, Gabriel launched multiple projects, a documentary film on Paul Butterfield, and a working band that celebrates his father's music.

Gabriel Butterfield's two band configurations share a handpicked line-up.

"These seasoned music veterans have all come together in mutual respect for my father and to honor one of music’s legendary pioneers and influences, for which I am very touched and forever grateful,” states Gabriel.

By re-imagining his music and channeling his persona I try to bring that fantasy to life.”

Influencing the likes of Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple, and Van Halen, Vanilla Fudge has certainly secured a place in Rock n’ Roll history!
In the summer of 1967, amongst the “sit ins”, protest marches and “happenings”, Vanilla Fudge released a remake of The Supremes “You Keep Me Hangin’ On”, scored a top ten hit and never looked back. Charting five other tracks on the Billboard Top 100 over the next three years, Vanilla Fudge were architects of a new musical style that included psychedelia, rock, soul music and gospel. They were, and are masters of reinterpreting other artists hit songs, and their effect on the soon to explode late 60’s “heavy metal” scene was undeniable. Their contribution and legacy remains intact, and with a 50th year anniversary in 2017, “The Fudge” as their devotees refer to them, are hopeful for a nod by the Rock n Roll Hall Of Fame!
