It’s a new era for Aztec Two-Step!

“The old songs done in Rex’s new lineup has brought new life to the music. This truly is a band that people need to experience!!” - Ron Olesko, WFDU-fm/Folk Music Notebook/Hurdy Gurdy Folk Club, New Jersey

https://www.aztectwostep.com

https://www.facebook.com/pg/aztectwostep/

Originating from a chance meeting at a Boston folk club open mic night in 1971, Rex Fowler & Neal Shulman burst on the scene as Aztec Two-Step in 1972 with their self-titled debut album on Elektra Records. This first album and their three subsequent albums for RCA Records made the duo staples of progressive FM and college radio, helping to usher the folk-rock music of the 1960s into the 1970s and beyond. Rex and Neal went on to spend a lifetime of making music together, becoming a national treasure, earning accolades and building a loyal fan base.

After 47 years, Neal retired and original founding member, principal singer and songwriter Rex has continued on with their captivating songs (including some of Neal's originals), expanding the band's musical legacy with his new ensemble Aztec Two-Step 2.0. With 2 and 3-part harmonies, multi-instrumental arrangements and Dodie Pettit’s dazzling guitar work, they’ve recaptured the sound and feeling of Rex & Neal’s original studio recordings, at the same time putting a fresh spin on it. Still performing favorite ATS classics and old forgotten gems, they’ve also added some new compositions. And the stage patter still as engaging, fun, and poignant as ever.

"Absolutely FANTASTIC show last night. All familiar material, just taken up a notch!!” “Exceeded all my expectations! Just magical!” - the fans

Natalie Gelman
Singer-Songwriter. Folk Pop
Hootenanny Cafe Mini Concerts
Online and on the radio, NY   See Map
Attraction is inexplicable. It’s pheromonal, quasi-spiritual, physiological and physical. For songwriter-pop artist Natalie Gelman, the pull to music has almost been innate. As an eight-year-old, she freely roamed the wilds of New York City, stoking the fire of her artistry, spurred on by violin and piano lessons, and her innate singing and songwriting gifts.

The Ojai, California-based artist has aptly titled her milestone release, Moth To The Flame. The 13-song album is a sublimely melodic and heartfelt blend of polished production, telepathic musicianship, and finely crafted pop with emotionally raw lyrics and storytelling. Natalie’s songwriting recalls sophisticated-but-still-pop tunesmiths such as Jewel, Sara Bareilles, and Jason Mraz. Her songs are subtly lush, detailed with ethereal atmospherics, majestic cello flourishes, chiming electric guitars, stately piano, and layers of dreamy vocals.

FEATURING ~
Manuel Quintana / Drums
Anthony Candulo / Bass
Scott Milici / Keys

http://www.dylandoyleband.com/

Based in the Hudson Valley, rising star Dylan Doyle has been performing nationally, as well as internationally. Southern bred, northern raised, his trio’s style of music lies somewhere between roots rock and jam funk. It evokes Woodstock and dips into southern soul; a uniquely American sound.

Touring nationally since age 15, Dylan became a seasoned professional while relatively young. He has played with notable musicians such as, Rob Stoner (Bob Dylan, Don Mclean), John Platania (Van Morrison, Natalie Merchant), Ben Cauley (Otis Redding) and Bill Payne (Little Feat).

Stoner called Dylan one of the most prodigious players he has known, with abundant natural talent. John Platania has referred to Dylan as “The Future.” Ben Cauley, after playing with Dylan in Memphis said, “Dylan Doyle sounds like a young Jimi Hendrix.” In the words of Bill Payne upon sharing the stage, “Music is a conversation. Dylan spoke beautifully and was listening to the musicians around him. His play was imaginative and original.”

Attesting to Dylan’s versatility, Dylan has played the King Biscuit Blues Festival three consecutive years as well headlining the Grateful Garcia Gathering, the largest Grateful Dead festival in the Midwest. He consistently packs houses across Europe and the US.
