Sunday 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm | Mike Burns Singer-Songwriter | BeanRunner Cafe 201 S. Division Street @ Esther Peekskill, NY See Map |
The buzz has been building for some time now about Mike Burn's delightfully clear, smooth baritone voice. He is a singer/songwriter & acoustic flat-picking guitarist from Purdys, NY.
As a renowned songwriter, Mike has raised quite a few eyebrows. His song "My Darling" was recorded by Mark Newton on his Rebel Records CD "Follow Me Back To The Fold", Mark's tribute to the ladies of bluegrass, performed with Valarie Smith. The album won "Recorded Event Of The Year" at the 2001 International Bluegrass Musicians Association "World Of Bluegrass" Awards show. Mike's music is steeped in the rural traditions of family, love, spiritual path, inspiration, the simple life and doing right. Mike is currently playing with bassist Lester Wilson from upstate NY. He also runs the Westchester Bluegrass Club in Purdys NY and has been producing shows in the area for the last twenty years! Donations to the musicians are appreciated. Proof of vaccination, ID and masks required at the door. | ||
