The Hootenanny Cafe Radio Show presents The Singer Songwriter Showcase Holiday Special 2021. Songs for this special 3 set show were sent in by artists from all over. And the songs are not your typical Holiday / Christmas songs that are played over and over throughout the Holiday season.
Why, you might ask, am I presenting the Holiday show after Christmas? My answer: I like to elongate the holiday. Enjoy the music everyone, Happy Holiday and stay safe!!!

THE LOBSTERMAN & HIS WIFE: A Downeast Fairy Tale
with Holiday-time Premiere: A special virtual show!, Danielle Woerner, Director/Producer
Folk/Traditional, Americana, and Celtic. plus songs of the sea
online - TBA - available globally
PO Box 277
Milbridge Maine, NY   See Map
Watch for the announcement of the online premiere of this unique virtual event! (Date/time here are approximate, & the show will remain up online after the premiere.)

This original show with music, created for the Narraguagus Jr/Sr High School stage in 2018-19 by director Danielle Woerner in a workshopping process with the school's Drama Club, has gotten new life as a virtual production, with a new cast and new songs. Performers range in age from 4 to adult, with most of the actors being teens from the Downeast-Acadia region of Maine. Musicians also include adult professionals from the region.

Based on the Grimm's fairy tale of The Fisherman and His Wife, the Lobsterman show transports the traditional story to the modern-day Maine coast, with additional characters and a much less "Grimm" ending for all.

The project is a cooperative venture between Sunrise County Arts Institute and Healthy Acadia, substantially funded by a grant from Healthy Acadia's Partnerships for Success.
To be mounted online! Available everywhere.

NYE SPECIAL! The BSTREETBAND- A Tribute to The Boss, Paramount Hudson Valley Theater
Rock (classic)
Paramount Hudson Valley Theater
1008 Brown St.
Peekskill, NY   See Map
From the heart of the Jersey Shore, “Backstreets” was the first band in the world to do a unique tribute to a live performer. There are now an estimated 14,000 tribute bands following their lead and performing all over the world. Nearly 5,500 performances and 34 years later, the B-Street Band is still the hardest working tribute band on the circuit, with almost 200 shows per year throughout the country. Notable performances include opening for Bruce outside at the Philadelphia Spectrum for the final 4 shows of the historic arena. Additionally, The B-Street Band performed before Bruce shows at Wachovia, MetLife Stadium, Prudential Center, and the newly constructed Comcast Xfinity Center at Citizens Bank Park. The band was proud to accept an invitation from the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame “Life and Music of Bruce Springsteen” exhibition at the Constitutional Center in Philadelphia. They were featured during the opening, middle and closing nights—a real honor for any tribute band. B-Street
