Saturday 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm | Lindsey Webster | The FALCON 1348 Route 9W Marlboro, NY See Map |
Webster always manages to pull out all the stops to show us what more she can do, what hidden recesses her instrument has to bear. A Woman Like Me’s two vocal tour de forces close out the project: an original, “Always Love Me,” and a cover, “Somewhere Over The Rainbow.” - Soul Tracks
www.lindseywebstermusic.com From the first note, Lindsey Webster combines an admirable natural talent with a genuine, accessible stage presence. In 2009, Lindsey met her partner, Keith Slattery, and started performing professionally. Together, with a band of world-class musicians, they’ve performed hundreds of shows regionally, nationally and internationally. The success of her second album "You Change" and achieving the only vocally driven song to hit #1 on the Billboard Contemporary Jazz chart for four weeks caught the eye of Shanachie Entertainment, with whom she signed to release her third album, "Back To Your Heart". On her fourth outing - Love Inside - Webster continues a devotion to the smooth R&B and soul traditions without supplanting or mimicking, with prominent soul jazz musicianship. The release of Lindsey’s fifth full-length studio album, A Woman Like Me, contains great songwriting and performances, featuring music industry veteran A-listers Nathan East, Vinnie Colaiuta, Luis Conte, and Mike DeMicco. Saturday 7:30 pm to 10:00 pm | Virtual concert with Jay Ungar and Molly Mason Folk/Traditional | Zoom Virtual Virtual, NY See Map |
| Jay Ungar & Molly Mason are musicians of enormous talent who draw their repertoire and inspiration from a wide range of American musical styles — 19th-century classics, lively Appalachian, Cajun, and Celtic fiddle tunes, and favorites from the golden age of country and swing — along with their own songs, fiddle tunes, and orchestral compositions. Jay and Molly achieved international acclaim when their performance of Jay’s composition, Ashokan Farewell, became the musical hallmark of Ken Burns’ The Civil War on PBS. The soundtrack won a Grammy and Ashokan Farewell was nominated for an Emmy.
In recent years, Jay and Molly have reached an ever-widening audience through their appearances on Great Performances, A Prairie Home Companion, their own public radio specials, and through their work on film soundtracks such as Brother’s Keeper, Legends of the Fall, and a host of Ken Burns’ PBS documentaries. They’ve had the honor of performing at the White House for two sitting Presidents. To purchase tickets
Saturday 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm | We Banjo 3 Bluegrass, Rock (classic) | Emelin Theatre 153 Library Lane Mamaroneck, NY See Map |
“We Banjo 3, an Irish quartet transcending even the best superlatives” — Huffington Post
Debuting in the U.S. in 2012, We Banjo 3 has since emerged as fast-rising touring darlings in this country, which two of the members now call home. The Galway, Ireland, and Nashville-based quartet – composed of two sets of brothers, Enda & Fergal Scahill and Martin & David Howley – continually push musical boundaries while maintaining an unwavering devotion to the essential audience experience. WB3 seamlessly blends the shared and varied traditions of Americana, Bluegrass, and Celtic music with a pop-sensibility to create a truly unique and gratifying signature sound. Brilliantly commanded instruments – banjo, fiddle, mandolin, guitar, and percussion – effortlessly elevate lead singer David Howley’s propulsive voice. Live on stage, their songs carry the listener along until, at the perfect moment, the band crescendos into catchy choruses with pitch perfect harmonies.
