Singer/songwriter Willa Vincitore has been building a fan base across the Hudson Valley for nearly two decades. While her songwriting is an eclectic mix of blues, soul, rock, funk and (occasionally) pop, there’s one thing that ties it all together—that voice.

Willa’s debut CD, Better Days (2017) received critical acclaimed from more than 50 reviewers worldwide. The Blues and Roots Music Report listed it as one of the Top 50 Contemporary Blues releases of 2017.

Willa's band debuted at The Falcon in 2013, following her departure from the Chris O'Leary Band. The Company of “Willa & Co.,” rotates and changes based on the spin of any individual performance, and may be stripped bare or piled high.

“Christopher Brown wins over audiences without gimmicks or bluster. He has an organic stage presence. All he needs are his honeyed rumble of a voice and an unteachable ability to make any song – a good-time sing-along of a favorite standard or a self-penned meditation on the passage of time – sound genuine and of the moment.” ~The Journal News

It’s not easy to be a working musician in the Greater New York City region but Christopher Brown has built several followings, as a solo coffeehouse artist, the leader of duos and trios, and as the voice of the Bookends band.

Brown, backed by his talented band will be showcasing songs from a brand new collection entitled, “Under a Gleason Moon”, his fourth CD release.

He writes tales of lessons learned and of taking stock through life’s journey. If you’ve lived a life – victories and defeats, good days and bad – you’ll recognize yourself in the songs of Christopher Brown.

Americana Rock ‘n’ Roll band, Hollis Brown, is named for the Bob Dylan song “The Ballad of Hollis Brown”

Formed by Queens-natives and songwriters, the independent act achieved significant success since their formation in 2009, releasing their debut album Ride On The Train (2013) garnering song and video premieres from Rolling Stone, Paste, and American Songwriter, along with music placements in the worldwide trailer for the Michael Keaton film “The Founder,” the Willem Dafoe/Matt Dillon film “Bad Country,” Direct TV’s “Kingdom”; Showtime’s “Shameless,” MTV’s “Real World,” and an online ad campaign for Abercrombie & Fitch.

Following a Lou Reed tribute concert in NYC, Alive Naturalsound asked the band to record a tribute to the Velvet Underground’s classic album Loaded, as a limited-edition vinyl release for Record Store Day 2014. Hollis Brown Gets Loaded took on a life of its own, with airplay on influential radio stations, resulting in a full CD and digital release.

Hollis Brown’s third album 3 Shots (2015), featured the Bo Diddley collaboration “Rain Dance,” and the duet “Highway 1” with acclaimed alt-country songstress Nikki Lane. “Run Right To You” (2016) was released on Velvet Elk/One Little Indian records. Their song “Steady Ground” is a featured exclusive on Amazon Acoustics playlist, and their vinyl EP, Cluster of Pearls was chosen as one of the 300 select releases throughout the world for Record Store Day 2016.

The band has toured extensively in the US and Europe, headlining and supporting The Counting Crows, Citizen Cope, The Zombies, Jackie Greene, Heartless Bastards, Rich Robinson of Black Crowes, and Jesse Malin, and building an impressive fan base on both continents.

Mascot Label Group has announced the signing of Hollis Brown to a global recording agreement
with Cool Green Records. Their next album was released on June 7, 2019.

Mark William hits the stage like a lightning bolt! Putting his own unique, youthful spin on golden age crooner styling, Mark performs a collection of timeless tunes from Broadway and The Great American Songbook, including such iconic songs as On A Clear Day, The Girl From Ipanema, and Over the Rainbow. With his glossy approach, he glides from Jule Styne to Peter Allen to Kander & Ebb with charismatic ease and a spring in his step. He hypnotizes with a set of enduring classics, filtered through Mark’s youthful perspective and talent set. The show is distinctly new-age romantic, yet still evocative of golden-age cinematic glamour. Mark is the winner of two Broadway World awards: Best Debut Act, and Best Independent Recording for his critically-acclaimed album, Mark William: Come Croon With Me, released by Yellow Sound Label. The recording was hailed as the “Album Of The Year” by Peter Filichia of Broadway Radio. Directed by Preston and Richard Ridge; Clint Edwards musical director.

Charlie Hunter & Scott Amendola DuoThe FALCON
1348 Route 9W
Marlboro, NY   See Map
Not Getting Behind Is the New Getting Ahead, the 2012 album by jazz guitarist Charlie Hunter and drummer Scott Amendola was recorded live in one room, and most are first takes. Said Amendola, "One of the best elements of this album is that we didn't use any headphones. We could hear everything naturally and acoustically. No mixing and no fixing, straight to ¼-inch tape. It sounds incredible. My drums haven't sounded this good ever. Everything sounded just as you were naturally playing it."

Charlie Hunter and Scott Amendola | Bienes Center for the Arts,: https://youtu.be/V3Ls5lByuZ4

"Our intention in making this record was to tell a bunch of stories around the central theme of the album’s title," said Hunter. "The new tunes are meant to evoke some of the things you might see in your travels through the USA these days. Scott and I wanted to think of each composition as a starting point for some kind of narrative."

July 3, 1993, to be exact, 10am to be even more exact… Charlie Hunter called up Scott Amendola to fill in for his drummer who had double-booked himself that night. They had a great conversation, and great night of music. That continues now, nearly 30 years later, as they bring playfulness, joy, and mastery of their instruments for a unique, engaging, even funny musical evening.

Charlie Hunter
http://charliehunter.com/news/

Hunter consistently ups his game as an innovative writer and bandleader. He has worked with Norah Jones, Mos Def, John Mayer, D’Angelo and countless others. He is widely considered the authority on the seven and eight string guitar, and continues to stun audiences with his ability to simultaneously bust out tasty bass parts, melodic leads and swinging rhythms. Critics have touted his genius technique, but it’s his profound artistic sensibility that propels his original music.

Scott Amendola
https://scottamendola.com/

An ambitious composer, savvy bandleader and capaciously creative foil for some of the world’s most inventive musicians, Scott Amendola applies his rhythmic virtuosity to a vast array of settings. His closest musical associates include guitarists Nels Cline, Jeff Parker, Charlie Hunter, Hammond B-3 organist Wil Blades, violinists Regina Carter and Jenny Scheinman, and clarinetist Ben Goldberg, players who have each forged a singular path within and beyond the realm of jazz.

Hey all ,"variety is the spice of life!" along with some of my original bluegrass influenced tunes we will be exploring other forms of roots & Americana music. This show will will be a melting pot of blues, rockabilly, folk and more. We will be on the trail of the masters in their respective genre's. The pillars that American music was built on including material by Bill Monroe, Robert Johnson, Big Bill Broonzy, The Carter Family, Leadbelly and Woody Guthrie along with other great 20th century trailblazers like Chuck Berry, Johnny Cash and Bob Dylan. Few musicians can cover this broad spectrum of music with authority and authenticity. I have gathered a great crew for this task. Doug Moody on fiddle, Roy Coates on the big bass and John "JP" Potter on guitar. This is all acoustic. You can expect some great fingerstyle guitar, flatpick guitar, harmonica, 5 string banjo & hot fiddling along with some stellar harmony singing. Whoo-hoo!

Alto saxophonist Rudresh Mahanthappa continues to dig into the Charlie Parker songbook - with bassist François Moutin and drummer Rudy Royston - on HERO TRIO (Whirlwind), a smart sequel to his 2015 album BIRD CALLS (ACT). This time, instead of using Parker’s material as a jumping-off point for his own compositions, Mahanthappa strips the album’s three Bird tunes down to their essence, the better to see how they work. - Downbeat

Rudresh Mahanthappa ~ Sax
http://imnworld.com/artists/detail/390/Rudresh-Mahanthappa

One of the era’s definitive saxophonists, Rudresh Mahanthappa has topped numerous jazz critics polls over the past 15 years. His recordings are regularly recognized as among the best of the year, and his cast of collaborators includes artists who have earned similar distinction, including pianist Vijay Iyer, guitarist Rez Abbasi, and saxophonist Steve Lehman.

The last time Mahanthappa went into the studio with bassist François Moutin and drummer Rudy Royston they recorded one of the decade’s most acclaimed albums, 2015’s Bird Calls (ACT). In many ways, his new album Hero Trio is a companion piece to Bird Calls, but this time Mahanthappa draws directly on the music of his formative influences, and offers a revelatory window into his wide-open aesthetic with a disparate program that begins and ends with The Bird.

Mahanthappa says, ‘After having released 15 albums of original music as a leader/co-leader, it is an immense pleasure to record music that is not my own. Hero Trio pays tribute to several of my greatest influences and inspirations such as Charlie Parker, John Coltrane, Sonny Rollins, Lee Konitz, Ornette Coleman, Keith Jarrett, Johnny Cash, and Stevie Wonder. They have all played such a strong role in helping me to see music as a magical force that binds humanity.’

My family is from Texas and I was born and raised in North Central Texas. I started to play seriously when I was in my early 50’s. Started to write songs in 2014. I have been privileged to play with many wonderful artists such as, Bill Hudson, Milo Deering, Guthrie Kennard, Heather Little, and Josh Rodgers, just to name a few. These men and women have enhanced my music tremendously over the years we have played together. When I started writing, I realized that it filled a void in my life that had been missing. I enjoy reaching out to people with my music. I was thrilled to be named Texas Troubadour Songwriter of The Year for 2015 and FTSW holiday song of the year in 2019. Was selected to represent Dallas, Ft. Worth, and North Texas in the 2020 International Blues Challenge in Memphis Tn. That was fun. I have great support from my wife and best friend, Julie Sibley. 31yrs clean and sober influence my writing greatly, and I hope it benefits others who suffer from addiction.
