Come see comedian Joe Matarese perform his all-new "Remember When?" The 2021 Edition standup show at the Emelin Theater. If you saw the original Remember When? show pre pandemic Joe has upped the show's production big time this year by adding a live band to the stage to back him up for the 2021 version of the show, and he's has added a lot of new standup material to the show. Don't miss this great night of laughing and reminiscing about the '80s when singers didn't use autotune, and when going to a kegger in the woods was worth getting grounded for. Joe Matarese's credits include America's Got Talent, The Late Show With David Letterman, The Howard Stern Show, 2 Specials On Amazon, Chesea Lately.

Orpheum Theater

Saugerties, NY   See Map
The John Street Jam rides again, this time on the big stage at the Orpheum Theater on Main Street in Saugerties. The opening show, which we hope won't be the last, will be FREE, thanks to generosity of Upstate Films, which is celebrating the grand re-opening of this beautiful old theater.

Built in 1908, the stage was home to such Vaudeville legends as Burns & Allen and Gypsy Rose Lee, and began showing moves in 1918.

Although we won't be able to re-create the original format with the musicians in the center, the intimacy of the Jam will remain on the big purple rug.

Mike Burns
Singer-Songwriter
BeanRunner Cafe
201 S. Division Street @ Esther
Peekskill, NY   See Map
The buzz has been building for some time now about Mike Burn's delightfully clear, smooth baritone voice. He is a singer/songwriter and acoustic flat-picking guitarist from Purdys, NY.

As a renowned songwriter, Mike has raised quite a few eyebrows. His song "My Darling" was recorded by Mark Newton on his Rebel Records CD "Follow Me Back To The Fold", Mark's tribute to the ladies of bluegrass, performed with Valarie Smith. The album won "Recorded Event Of The Year" at the 2001 International Bluegrass Musicians Association "World Of Bluegrass" Awards show.

Mike's music is steeped in the rural traditions of family, love, spiritual path, inspiration, the simple life and doing right.

Mike is currently playing with bassist Lester Wilson from upstate NY. He also runs the Westchester Bluegrass Club in Purdys NY and has been producing shows in the area for the last twenty years!!

Donations to the musicians are most appreciated.

Concert Performance of THE FATHER WHO STAYED featuring songs and music of Jeremy Schonfeld
and additional text by Rinde Eckert

A story in music - Following the tragic death of his young daughter Emily Rose, Theseus is left lost and alone in the empty void of their old home. As Theseus re-ignites the magic of the bedtime storytelling ritual they used to share, the house fills with the ghosts of past occupants sharing stories of those who lived and died within its walls. The Father Who Stayed is a musical journey of everyday life, death, and the afterlife in America.

Joan Osborne
Rock (classic), Blues, and Soul. Singer-songwriter
Emelin Theatre
Mamaroneck, NY   See Map
Multi-platinum selling recording artist and seven-time GRAMMY nominee, Joan Osborne has rightfully earned a reputation as one of the great voices of her generation.

Short Summary:
“Like Bonnie Raitt, a musician to whom she has often been compared, Ms. Osborne is a fiercely intelligent, no-nonsense singer-songwriter who is allergic to traditional pop sentimentality, though hardly devoid of feeling.” – The New York Times

Since she broke through 25 years ago with the multi-platinum Relish and its touchstone mega-smash “One of Us,” the seven-time GRAMMY nominee has never played it safe. Osborne has followed her restless musical heart, exploring a diverse range of genres: pop, rock, soul, R&B, blues, roots rock, gospel, funk, and country – all of which can be heard on her tenth studio album, the masterful Trouble and Strife, along with the Western side of C&W and a touch of glam and disco.
