T Buckley
Singer-Songwriter, Americana
Hootenanny Cafe Mini Concerts
Online and on the radio, NY   See Map
On this episode of the Hootenanny Cafe Radio Show, the mini-concert is provided by award-winning songwriter T. Buckley, ahead of the release of Buckley's second solo album, Frame By Frame. Buckley looks through the lens of life on these new songs, which were originally written ahead of a second recording session with Grammy winning producer Howard Bilerman. But with no travel possible in 2020, these songs about family were brought back to the musical family Buckley has built around him. In hindsight, it was meant to be.
Buckley's music career started as a leader of a trio, before making his way as a solo artist, writing songs with John Wort Hannam and Nashville songwriter Don Henry. With influences running from traditional folk to rock to Laurel Canyon to the '60s New York Cafe scene, he tells the story in detail and embeds his songs with a message. This dedication to craft continues to make Buckley's name known and recognized through award nominations and wins.

“The Even Grumpier Old Rock Star Tour’ LIVE at Bearsville Theater
with Rick Wakeman
Rock (progressive)
Bearsville Theater
291 Tinker St
Woodstock, NY   See Map
Rick Wakeman of YES brings his fan-favorite solo show, full of music and mirth to the Bearsville Theater.

Widely regarded by his peers and fans as one of rock’s great humorists, Rick’s work with YES is the stuff of legend. Having made his name creating prog rock extravaganzas, in his solo shows Wakeman returns to his roots with a programme packed with virtuosic piano performances and hilarious anecdotes inspired by his 50-plus-year career. Repertoire will range from his solo works and his stints in the band YES through to his early days as a session musician playing keyboards on such classics as David Bowie’s Life On Mars, plus surprises like his unique interpretations of Beatles’ hits and many more memorable tunes, adapted for the grand piano. And all of this glorious music is punctuated by riotous reflections on his life and the people he’s met along the way. As he himself often observes, life is rarely dull when Rick Wakeman is around!
