"Hollis Brown knows how to write, arrange and churn out rugged, always tuneful rock and roll with a strong urban feel. There is no pretension or attempts to do any more than deliver the power pop goods." - American Songwriter

Americana Rock ‘n’ Roll band, Hollis Brown, is named for the Bob Dylan song “The Ballad of
Hollis Brown”.

FEATURING:

Mike Montali / Lead Vocals & Guitar
Jonathan Bonilla / Lead Guitar
Andrew Zehnal / Drums
Adam Bock / Keyboard & Vocals

Formed by Queens-natives and songwriters, the independent act achieved significant success since their formation in 2009, releasing their debut album Ride On The Train (2013) garnering song and video premieres from Rolling Stone, Paste, and American Songwriter, along with music placements in the worldwide trailer for the Michael Keaton film “The Founder,” the Willem Dafoe/Matt Dillon film “Bad Country,” Direct TV’s “Kingdom”; Showtime’s “Shameless,” MTV’s “Real World,” and an online ad campaign for Abercrombie & Fitch.

Following a Lou Reed tribute concert in NYC, Alive Naturalsound asked the band to record a tribute to the Velvet Underground’s classic album Loaded, as a limited-edition vinyl release for Record Store Day 2014. Hollis Brown Gets Loaded took on a life of its own, with airplay on influential radio stations, resulting in a full CD and digital release.

Hollis Brown’s third album 3 Shots (2015), featured the Bo Diddley collaboration “Rain Dance,” and the duet “Highway 1” with acclaimed alt-country songstress Nikki Lane. “Run Right To You” (2016) was released on Velvet Elk/One Little Indian records. Their song “Steady Ground” is a featured exclusive on Amazon Acoustics playlist, and their vinyl EP, Cluster of Pearls was chosen as one of the 300 select releases throughout the world for Record Store Day 2016.

The band has toured extensively in the US and Europe, headlining and supporting The Counting Crows, Citizen Cope, The Zombies, Jackie Greene, Heartless Bastards, Rich Robinson of Black Crowes, and Jesse Malin, and building an impressive fan base on both continents.

Mascot Label Group has announced the signing of Hollis Brown to a global recording agreement

Dar Williams has always followed her muse. When she was up in Somerville, Massachusetts in the early nineties, knowing that she wanted to pursue music or theater, she worked backstage at the Opera Company of Boston and wrote plays on the side. But she was in Boston, and the muse led her into the myriad open mics and tip jar gigs of booming folk revival. She opened a trunk of old songs and started writing new ones. She hoped the songs she was writing, with titles like When I Was a Boy, You’re Aging Well, and The Great Unknown, would lead her into an idiosyncratic part-time music career.

Doors open at 12:30pm, with shows starting at 2pm. Extensive precautions, including proof of vaccination or a negative Covid-19 test will be required for entry at all shows. Guests can enjoy delicious wine and locally sourced dining options during the show. Visit our website for more information.

Leo Kottke is arguably one of the most important and influential acoustic steel-string fingerstyle guitarists of the 20th century. Highly innovative, he is known for his compelling original compositions as well as his arrangements of cover songs, like the captivating medley of "Mockingbird Hill" — a hit for both Patti Page and Les Paul & Mary Ford — and Duane Allman's "Little Martha," which he performed on NPR. During his career, Kottke has collaborated with a wide range of musicians, from Chet Atkins to Procul Harum to the Violent Femmes, and most notably Phish bassist Mike Gordon. Kottke has recorded an extensive catalog that has inspired countless guitarists including such fingerstyle innovators as the late, great Michael Hedges, Preston Reed, Peppino D'Agostino and Don Ross. His debut LP, “6 & 12 String Guitar,” has been reissued on CD three times since its 1969 release.

Kottke has been awarded two GRAMMY award nominations..

"California-based troubadour Tom Freund sings of skate-boarding kids, impending doom and Happy Days lunch boxes....” - NPR WEEKEND EDITION

"Tom Freund is indeed one of the great singer-songwriters. He constructs a unique world, defines it, and then burns it to the ground. Truly unique and absolutely brilliant." –All Music Guide

Tom Freund

..
Freund’s intimate, heartfelt new solo album, East of Lincoln, chronicles a personal journey along the path from self doubt to enlightenment. Freund takes his time and lets these new songs simmer, and that—along with memorable guest spots from longtime friend and collaborator Ben Harper and an all-star cast of session players—is a big part of the record’s charm. The record is a potent reminder that life is measured not just by our successes, but by how we choose to grow from our failures.

Tom's songs have been featured on television series such as Better Things, Parenthood and One Tree Hill. For his latest - Amazon Prime Studio's animated series Pete The Cat - Freund co-wrote, sang and played songs with Elvis Costello, KT Tunstall, Dave Matthews and Diana Krall, and co-wrote the show’s theme song with creator Swampy Marsh (Phineas and Ferb). Costello takes lead vocals on each episode’s opening theme with Freund handling backing vocals and most instruments.

The Restless Age
https://www.facebook.com/therestlessage

The Restless Age is a collaboration - a harmony of Will Bryant, Lee Falco and Brandon Morrison. Each player brings a unique song and voice to the bandstand, as the trio spans generations and genres.

The members of The Restless Age have been a premier rhythm section throughout New York’s Hudson Valley for the past half-decade. As the house band for Amy Helm's 'Oh to be Home Again' at Levon Helm Studios, they performed behind Donald Fagen, John Sebastian and Graham Nash, as well as being Kate Pierson's (The B-52's) touring band in support of her 2015 debut album 'Guitars & Microphones’. During that same year they toured the U.S. & Canada supporting the The Waterboys and The Gipsy Kings along with fellow Hudson Valley singer-songwriter Connor Kennedy.

Lee, Brandon and Will rose to national attention backing Donald Fagen of Steely Dan, as "The Nightflyers" on his 2017 national tour.
