The impact of Oz's unique, intoxicating style has broken the rules of instrumental guitar by focusing on the groove.  Ana Fernandez is a Brazilian singer and songwriter born in Aracaju Norte East do Brasil. Her parents moved to Sao Paulo when she was still very young and Ana grew up under the influence of Samba and several other rhythms like MPB (Brazilian popular music), Bossa Nova, Xote, Baioa, Xaxado, Pop music, Carimbo, as wells as American soul, blues and jazz.
Ana moved to NY 10 years ago and has sung in legendary places like Zinc Bar, SOBs', Cafe Wha, Bronx Zoo, Queens Botanical Garden, the Jazz Forum and others.

Winner of the 2017 Ameripolitan Music Award for Best Female Rockabilly Artist, and named the “Best Up-And-Coming Band” by New York's Hudson Valley Magazine, Lara Hope and the Ark-Tones are the Northeast's premier Roots Rock n’ Roll & Rockabilly Twang outfit!
For the past year, they have been playing mostly as a trio, performing a virtual show each Monday from 7-8pm on their Facebook page. Prior to the pandemic, they had spent much of the past few years on the road, both in Europe, and in the US, and had the pleasure of touring with some of their musical heroes, including a 6 week national tour with The Brian Setzer Orchestra, and regional tours with The Blasters, and the Reverend Horton Heat.
The band has also had the privilege of supporting some of the greats, including Joan Jett, Tiger Army, Gary US Bonds, Dale Watson, Big Sandy, Wayne Hancock, The 5678's, Jay Leno, and America, and has performed at at a variety of national festivals including Viva Las Vegas, Ink n Iron, and The Nashville Boogie.
Most recently, they were invited to perform at the original site of the Woodstock Festival, Bethel Woods, for the 50th anniversary celebration.
They recently finished recording their 3rd all-original studio album, which will be released worldwide June 25th 2021. Matt and Lara also play as a duo, "The Gold Hope Duo", and recently self-released a very topical album called "Songs In The Key Of Quarantine", which is now available.

 Abel Mireles is one of this region's most promising saxophonist. He has worked with the legendary pianist and Grammy award winner Bill Charlap, the great Cecil Bridgewater, pianists James Weidman and Armen Donelian, and saxophonist Rich Perry, and Vincent Herring among others. Abel has performed in Carnegie Hall, the Apollo Theater, Dizzy's Club Coca-Cola Jazz Club, Smalls Jazz Club, Smoke Jazz Club, City Winery, B.B. King Blues Club & Grill NYC, among others both as leader and sideman.

Joel Forrester is the composer of more than 1600 tunes, a versatile and accomplished jazz pianist, leader of his own quintet and prolific recording artist. He has performed in an extraordinary diversity of settings – from large ensembles to a duet setting with a tap dancer!
Joel composed the theme for National Public Radio’s “FRESH AIR with Terry Gross. The theme has been broadcast more than 200,000 times in the last three years – it’s been played and heard coast-to-coast more often than any other jazz composition in American radio (both public and private stations) for the last 28 years! The theme from FRESH AIR can also be heard on his Ride Symbol CD, “STOP THE MUSIC”

This evening's host, blues guitarist, singer, songwriter, blues historian and producer, Joe Louis Walker has been performing on the island of St. Vincent for the past 11 years as part of the BASIL CHARLES EDUCATIONAL FOUNDATION, providing full-time scholarships, bursaries, and numerous educational pursuits including books, clothing, and food programs.
On April 9, 2021, La Soufričre volcano erupted on the main island of St. Vincent. Three days later, a second larger eruption released large amounts of hot ash, lava, and toxic gas. The eruptions have led to shortages of essential goods and services including clean drinking water, sanitation, food, electricity, transportation, shelter, and medical care.

 Unmistakably Nordic in flavor, Sofia Talvik somehow still conforms to American interpretations of her own original music, a North Sea siren blending sparkle and melancholy. A veteran performer with 8 full length albums as well as numerous EPs, singles and tours behind her.
Growing up in Sweden her music has always had a special tint of her Scandinavian heritage, making her a favorite among music lovers, but her 16 month, and 37 state long tour, through the USA (in an RV) has moved her music closer to the Americana tradition.
The latest album “Paws of a Bear” released in September 2019 gained a lot of critical acclaim in both the U.S and Europe, charting on the top lists of U.S Folk Radio, Roots Music Report and Euro Americana Charts. Many of the songs of the album are on the theme of home and identity. |

The World Children's Day Fundraiser Festival will be held on July 11th, from 1-6pm, at the Sugar Loaf Performing Arts Center, in Chester NY, with half of proceeds raised going to the Hudson Valley Food Bank, and the other half going to UNICEF. We'll have live music, raffles, food trucks, and various other venues (List to be updated!). We are asking for a $10 dollar donation upon entry; people aged 12 and under are free.
