Sound as Experience. Sound without the tight hands of time. Explore. Experiment. Exchange.

// April 24 Noon – April 25 Noon //

- Video livestream at basilicahudson.org
- Audio streamed live on Wave Farm’s Standing Wave Radio (wavefarm.org/listen)
- Audio broadcast live on WGXC 90.7-FM in NY’s Upper Hudson Valley

For the past 7 years, 24-HOUR DRONE, a signature event that features musicians and sound artists experimenting with sustained tones to create a full twenty-four hours of unbroken sound, has kicked Basilica Hudson’s season into bloom as a sacred wake-up call for the building in her winter hibernation.

With all large gathering events still postponed due to COVID-19, this year we will bring it to the airwaves in collaboration with Wave Farm’s WGXC 90.7-FM Radio for Open Ears, featuring local and global sound and visual artists.

"....Noy...channels the likes of fusion godfather John Scofield, blues-rocker Stevie Ray Vaughan, and even the speech-pattern guitar phrasing of Zappa, someone who also knew how to play jazz that just didn’t sound like it." - Jazz Times

http://www.oznoy.com

He's got an intoxicating blend of jazz, funk, rock, blues, and r&b. Oz was a member of the house band on a top-rated television show in his native Israel for more than two years. The impact of Oz's unique, intoxicating style has broken the rules of instrumental guitar by focusing on the groove. All-stars such as Keith Carlock, Anton Fig, Vinnie Colaiuta, and Dave Weckl often contribute on drums, with bassists Will Lee, James Genus, and Reggie Washington.

Oz won the highly acclaimed Guitar Player magazine readers poll for “best guitar riff on a record” in 2007. In 2008, Oz won the Guitar Player’s “best new talent.” Noy has performed, toured and recorded with Chris Botti, Harry Belafonte, Cyndi Lauper, Clay Aiken, Toni Braxton, Phoebe Snow, Jeff ‘Tain’ Watts, Dave Weckl, Mike Manieri, The East Village Opera Company, Roger Glover, Bill Evans, Warren Hayes, Gov’t Mule, and Allen Toussaint, among others.

“Meet new school old school crooner BSKi, (pronounced “bee-skee”) with a touch Jamiroquai and neo-soul, it’s the pure poetry he’s writing that takes his sound to another level…” -Elevtrtrax.com

Brian Collazo, also known as “BSKi” is a singer and songwriter based in New York City. The first generation “Nuyorican” grew up in Haverstraw, NY listening to his father play guitar and sing classic boleros by the likes of Rafael Hernandez and Trío Vegabajeño.

His own music blends R&B, Funk & Hip-Hop with latin rhythms in a style he half-jokingly refers to as “Sancocho Funk” (sancocho=stew or gumbo), adding a tongue-in-cheek lyrical approach for a uniquely personal sound.

Collazo is best known to Hudson Valley residents and Falcon regulars as the host of the annual Christmas at the Falcon concert and former front man of long-time area favorites, Live Society. The March 21st show will feature some of his former bandmates as well as members of his talented family, the Collazo Family Singers.

BSKi’s new single Get on the Floor is available on all streaming outlets!
