Sunday 9:00 pm to 10:30 pm | Ben Bullington Singer-Songwriter, Americana | Hootenanny Cafe Mini Concerts Online and on the radio, NY See Map |
“Ben Bullington's work draws life-breath from the earth, rivers, sky and people of Montana,” says Rodney Crowell, Nashville songwriting legend. “Plus, the guy's a pretty damn good doctor for a songwriter.”
Ben released four CDs full of great songs and amazing special guests, his final CD was recorded just after he’d received a Stage 4 cancer diagnosis. Ben elected to hold off on chemotherapy until the sessions. Afterwards, Ben gave up his medical practice and spent the last several months of his life playing music. During a show in Nashville, Ben was joined by Crowell, Will Kimbrough and Darrell Scott. Darrell had met Ben in years past, but never knew he was a songwriter. That night led to Darrell immersing himself in Ben’s songs, capped off by a release called “10-Songs of Ben Bullington.” Ben is buried in a cemetery in Livingston, Montana with a headstone that says, “He Loved Words, Guitars and Wide-Open Spaces.” | ||
