He's got an intoxicating blend of jazz, funk, rock, blues, & r&b. The impact of Oz Noy's unique, intoxicating style has broken the rules of instrumental guitar by focusing on the groove. All-stars such as Keith Carlock, Anton Fig, Vinnie Colaiuta, & Dave Weckl often contribute on drums, with bassists Will Lee, James Genus, and Reggie Washington.
Oz won the Guitar Player magazine readers poll for “best guitar riff on a record” in 2007. In 2008, Oz won the Guitar Player’s “best new talent.” Noy has performed & recorded with Chris Botti, Harry Belafonte, Cyndi Lauper, Clay Aiken, Toni Braxton, Phoebe Snow, Jeff ‘Tain’ Watts, Dave Weckl, Mike Manieri, The East Village Opera Company, Roger Glover, Bill Evans, Warren Hayes, Gov’t Mule, & Allen Toussaint, among others.

The house bassist for SNL & credited on hundreds of recordings, James Genus is one of the most in-demand bassists. He studied under jazz great Ellis Marsalis, (father of Branford, Wynton & Delfeayo). In the NY music scene he played & recordedacoustic and electric bass for some of the biggest talents in jazz, including David Sanborn, Bob James, Herbie Hancock, Chick Corea, & Wynton Marsalis.

http://www.tainish.com/

Jeff Watts, the drummer they call "Tain," spent his formative years with Wynton & Branford Marsalis, & his compositional skills now command equal attention. In the film & tv industry Jeff has appeared as both a musician on the Tonight Show with Jay Leno & as an actor, Rhythm Jones in Spike Lee’s "Mo Better Blues". Jeff joined Kenny Garrett's band after returning to NY in 1995 & continued to record & tour with Branford Marsalis as well as Danilo Perez, Michael Brecker, Betty Carter, Kenny Kirkland, Courtney Pine, Geri Allen, Alice Coltrane, Greg Osby, McCoy Tyner, Steve Coleman, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, Harry Connick Jr, & Ravi Coltrane.

Popa and Keyes present an intimate evening of music and banter.

http://popachubby.wix.com/popachubby

Chubby took his cue from artists of the '60s, including Sly & the Family Stone, Jimi Hendrix, and Eric Clapton, among others. In his early twenties, he worked for a while backing punk poet Richard Hell. Chubby's first big break was winning a national blues talent search sponsored by KLON, a public radio station in Long Beach, California. He won New Artist of the Year, and opened the Long Beach Blues Festival in 1992, and has been rocking audience with his bold approach to music ever since. Chubby continues to play more than 200 club dates a year, and has released numerous albums worldwide, since. Most notably, his Sony/Okeh debut, 'Booty and the Beast', was produced by longtime Atlantic Records engineer/producer TOM DOWD, whose recordings by Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Wilson Pickett, among others are legendary!

Brant Miller’s “Roots, Rhymes & Branches” brings to fruition a lifetime of musicality fused with commitment to environmental and social causes. 13 masterfully-crafted and performed original songs spanning over 30 years of Brant’s life display his wide roots music influences. He grew up in Croton, New York, steeped in the folk traditions of Pete Seeger and Don McClean, whom he met and jammed with while crewing on the sloop Clearwater. After five years of practicing forestry in Honduras in the Peace Corps and in Alaska, Brant moved to Nashville to pursue his musical dreams, pitching his songs and getting songs cuts. He resumed his forestry career but never slowed down, recording two CDs with his trio, 2nd Nature, playing twice at the Ryman, and winning or placing six times in the prestigious Chris Austin Songwriting Contest at MerleFest.
Brant, now retired from a three-decade Forestry career, lives with his wife Patricia near Nashville on five acres with over 300 trees they planted.

SUNDUB FEATURES:

Joanna Teters / Lead Vocals, Finnegan Singer / Guitar, Josh T Carter / Bass, Eric "The General" Toussaint / Vocals / Keys, Ben Teters / Vocals / Drums

Brooklyn-based SunDub, an inventively collaborative mix of New York City musicians, has been offering its classic reggae repertoire, peppered with soul and funk selections, almost weekly since 2013. Anchored by a core quintet, many of SunDub’s stellar and frequent collaborators have come together for its first production of original music, "Burden of Love."

The album features reggae royalty Ruff Scott, The Chronic Horns (Easy Star All-Stars), Larry McDonald (Lee Scratch Perry, Gil Scott-Heron) and is mixed and co-produced by Sidney Mills (Steel Pulse). They lend their talents to Joanna Teters' commanding and soulfully smoky lead vocals and blend seamlessly with the super tight arrangements of the SunDub rhythm section. The result is a stand out expression of reggae’s classic undulating pulse and lush subterranean grooves, reinvented for listeners of all times and genres.
