The Howland Chamber Music Circle continues its spring concert series with a concert by the Verona Quartet and guest guitarist JiJi at the Howland Cultural Center on Sunday, April 26 at 4 p.m. The historic Howland Cultural Center is located on Main Street in the heart of Beacon, New York. The Woodstock Celtic Session is a weekly gathering of Traditional musicians who come together to enjoy and play Irish music and more in a pub setting. All are welcome to play or listen in an acoustic unplugged pub setting. We’ve been playing together every Monday night since 2002!

Jim Pospisil is a singer songwriter who has been performing since the 1970's, as a soloist and with various bands.His style has ranged from folk, rock and blues to jazz, classical, electronic and ambient. Though his main instrument is guitar, he also plays keyboards, harmonicas, flute, mandolin, and dulcimer.
We're back at one of our favorite venues. The Chain Gang will perform a mix of classic rock and pop (60's through 80s) at this very popular establishment. Billy Joel, The Beatles, The Eagles, BS&T, and tons more. The gang at La Puerta Azul are great hosts. Come in for dinner, or just a drink.
The food and drink are outstanding.

The Hysterical Jay Mohr is Coming to Peekskill!
Comedian, actor and best-selling author, Jay Mohr has been performing stand-up comedy since he was sixteen years old. With a career that has spanned over three decades, Jay has become an artist that is very difficult to define. Never wanting to rest on his accomplishments, Jay has always pushed himself to be more than just a comic. After landing his dream job on Saturday Night Live, it appeared as though Jay had reached the height of comedic success. Little did he know that just three years later, he would be cast opposite Tom Cruise in Jerry Maguire and that same year co-star with Jennifer Anniston in Picture Perfect. Now the world that knew “comedian Jay” was quickly introduced to the “actor Jay.” Never wanting to choose one career over the other, Mohr has brilliantly balanced both acting and stand-up comedy as roommates in his brain.

Larry Federman and Chris Walsh are two musicians who have been gigging around the Hudson Valley and beyond for over 40 years. Since 1973, Larry has played guitar with numerous bands from Nashville to New York, and has recorded with, and/or shared the stage with many country artists. His music has taken him across the US and across the pond. Chris has been doing solo gigs since the 1980s, and is a founding member of the Hudson Valley band, “Thunder Ridge”, which began playing gigs in 1993. Larry joined the band in 2001, and the two have been lighting up the stage together with TR ever since. Recently, they decided to see what they could do as a duo. So in addition to working with “Thunder Ridge”, they are now also playing under the name, “Gray Matter”. Playing originals and covers – from country to rock and roll - these guys will get your gray matter pumping!
