www.slambovia.com The Slambovian Circus of Dreams - collectively - are pioneers of the Americana genre, equal parts Washington Irving and Woodstock, tapping styles ranging from dusty Americana ballads to huge Pink Floydesque cinematic anthems. They've been called “the hillbilly Pink Floyd,” particularly if you throw in elements of Incredible String Band, Neil Young, The Band, Dylan, Bowie and Syd Barrett. The band runs its own label, with four critically acclaimed studio albums: A Good Thief Tips His Hat (1999), Flapjacks From The Sky (2003), The Great Unravel (2008), and The Grand Slambovians (2010). A Box of Everything (2014) released through Sony Red as the band’s ‘greatest hits you’ve never heard". Their next studio album, ‘A Very Unusual Head’ will feature guests including guitarist Gary Lucas and Willie Nile, among others. www.facebook.com/theslamboviancircusofdreams www.twitter.com/slambovia www.youtube.com/slambovia www.soundcloud/slambovia

New MSL Album! Check it out! "Fated/Faded" Vocalist and songwriter, with a baby blue guitar and a Marlboro bass, Mimi performs solo dream pop as an electronic multi-instrumentalist, and more recently, in a power-punk-dream-rock collaboration with the Beacon NY punk trio, Knock Yourself Out (KYO). MSL (pronounced missile) is the latest incarnation of Mimi Sun Longo, whose projects have included MimiSun ('08), Higher Animals('11), We Got Whales('15), and now, MSL + KYO, with no end in sight for our expectations of MSL. MSL achieves the grind of Janis Joplin and subtlety of Angel Olsen. Josh Stark's loud lead riffs through layers of delay and distortion, push and pull in a winking attempt to tear at the impenetrable KYO rhythm section that is Harrison Cannon and Mike Rasimas. singtomeMSL.com Facebook: fb.me/singtomeMSL Instagram & Twitter: @SingToMeMSL Teaser Vid: https://www.instagram.com/p/BNX8024h2CoSad3cYHED966Y5o5MJT60jUGTjI0/

Unfailingly sturdy and open-hearted songs, rock-energized bluegrass propulsion with a soulful, humble overtone. https://www.itkmusic.com In The Kitchen got their start in the steamy kitchen of a second story apartment in Rosendale NY. It was a warm midsummer evening and the boys started plucking sweet sounds as chicken, potatoes and green beans sizzled in the oven. You might say, that meal defined the band's sound - simple and satisfying. In The Kitchen plays a mix of Americana music, with hints of bluegrass, country, ad soul, peppering their songwriting.Their live sets move through a range of emotions, with plenty of danceable, driving tunes, balanced with slow grooves, and earnest lyrics and singing. Like any fine Upstate band, their latest album, Almost Almost There, was recorded in a log cabin nestled in the Catskill Mountains. Sunday 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm | All Types of Kinds Acoustic, Folk/Traditional, and Hip Hop | BeanRunner Cafe 201 S. Division Street @ Esther Peekskill, NY See Map |
At first glance, the name All Types of Kinds is a little confusing. Is it a typo? What does it mean? The band of 4 - Billy Conahan, Ray Rubio, Rocco Stroker, and Berk O - have a good reason for the unique moniker, they play all types and kinds of music. From folk to rap and nearly everything in between, these musicians harmonize with the best of them, have a bit of a rock vibe and it’s not uncommon for a smart rap to artfully make its way into a song. An ATOK show is high energy, taking their cues from the audience so no two shows are ever alike. The band has a dedicated following in New York City and surrounding areas; and with a recent summer tour from California to New England and down the coast to South Carolina, ATOK is building a fan base that can’t seem to get enough of their brand of music - All Types of Kinds. Suggested donations go directly to the musicians. Click to watch ATOK's sizzle reel video!

http://www.donbyron.com/ For over two decades, Don Byron, a recipient of the first Doris Duke Performing Artist Award, has been exploring widely divergent traditions while continually striving for what he calls "a sound above genre." As clarinetist, saxophonist, composer, arranger, and social critic, he redefines every genre of music he plays. Matt formed his remarkable jazz/funk ensemble Fat Mink in 2005. The group has released a long awaited first album (2018). Ben Perowsky’s notable career has placed him among a small vanguard of players able to move between jazz, experimental music and cutting edge pop and rock. He cut his teeth as a youth playing drums for several artists.

The Dashboard Hula Girls are a Hudson Valley based band led by songwriter Jeffrey Ashey. Ashey’s voice sits somewhere between Leonard Cohen and Tom Waits and are balanced by vocalist Jackie Rudy. A vocal pairing that’s been described as Beauty and the Beast. Bob Harris plays guitar, mandolin and dobro. Bob spent 15 years touring with Vasser Clements and engineered for the likes of Johny Cash. Michael G Ronstadt adds virtuoso cello. Influences range from Woody Guthrie, Brian Eno & Daniel Lanois to Beacon resident Pete Seeger. The new album Savoir Faire to Spare has songs ranging from the 1960’s folk of “54 Miles” about the Selma civil rights march of 1965, to the jazz standard stylings of “The Love of Money” which might not be out of place on a 1970’s Tom Waits album. “Dig My Way to Freedom” tells the story of the prison break in Dannemora, NY.
