Since emigrating from his native Scotland in 2014 Lorkin O'Reilly has been making a name for himself throughout the Northeast. His unique transatlantic approach blends Celtic inspired open tunings with direct and personal lyrics. His writing reflects not only his own reality, but a reality faced by most of us; the purgatory between childhood and adulthood, between new home and old home and finally the overarching struggle of finding a new identity.

The zeitgeist is a moving target, and Chris Barron has always been a crack shot. The New York songwriter is no longer the debutant who set out on the circuit’s sharp end in 1988 with $100, a battered acoustic and a headful of the alt-rock anthems that would elevate Spin Doctors to global stardom.

He’s compelled to write the music that chronicles the here-and-now. As far back as he can remember, he’s had a hunger driving him onward, towards something just out of reach. It propelled him to Angels and One-Armed Jugglers (2017), the culmination of a lifetime’s craft and a record both contemporary and classic.

A powerful story teller, at once hilarious and thought provoking, Chris sets up his songs with anecdotes from a life on the road, from opening for and encountering legends like the Rolling Stones to Polar expeditions.

With dynamic vocals and sharp social commentary, Chavez’s songs take audiences on a journey through the Americas, expertly blending sounds with tension and grace. “Most striking is Chavez’s ease as she moves between social and love songs, between North American and Latin genres, and even between languages: When she passes mid-song from English to Spanish and back, it’s the most natural thing in the world.“ The Boston Globe “Gina Chavez's voice stops you in your tracks the first time you hear it.” -- NPR
