Times Square has been entertaining people throughout the Hudson Valley for over 24 years. Specializing in songs of the 50’s and early 1960’s, the group was founded by its only remaining original member, Ron Piga (a.k.a. Piggy).
Bronx native, Tony Cacace, is well known in doo wop circles for his fabulous lead vocals in The Cordials, Treblecords, and Regents.
Ron and Tony are rightfully credited with the group’s longevity and ongoing success.
NYC Mounted Police Officer, Walter Resty, sang with ensembles, Wishful Thinking and Sentimental Journey.
Bob Schulz sang with The Mello-Kings and The Montereys.
Newcomer, Tony Carlini, bass, has been singing in close harmony groups for over 42 years, and is grateful to his mates for allowing him to step into the legacy known as “Times Square”. |

 Eric will perform a program of primarily 19th century guitar music, which was a time of striking innovation and development of this familiar instrument. The music will be performed on an authentic reproduction instrument modeled after one built in 1830. Eric will also provide information about the instrument, repertoire, composers, and history. The program will include Eric’s own arrangement of Violin Sonata Number 2 by French composer, Benjamin Godard, as well as works by Francois de Fossa, Johann Kaspar Mertz (1806-1856), Francisco Tarrega, Emilia Guliani-Gugliemi — one of the first great women composers for the guitar — and others.
Eric Roth specializes in historical instruments and repertoire. He earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance from SUNY New Paltz and has received lessons or master classes with Gohar Vardanyan, David Starobin, and others. Eric serves as board member with the Mid-Hudson Classical Guitar Society and president of the Poné Ensemble for New Music.

| Pat Quinn cannot be put into any category. She does country, folk, rock, ballads, contemporary - adding to her arrangements bits and pieces of traditional musicality. The social consciousness she brings to her lyrics are moving and inspiring and add ever more layers to her eclectic collection of songs. She co-produced, played bass and guitar on her newly released album Long Way to Heaven. Pat started playing music in Pennsylvania. She soon joined a bluegrass band and switched from guitar to bass. Moving to Los Angeles introduced her to country and was an original member of a band called the Eddys led by Ed Black who had previously been with Linda Ronstadt and Karla Bonoff. She has played bass and sang backup vocals for Lucinda Williams, Rosie Flores and various other bands in the LA area. |

 Wali Ali unites the intimacy of folk music with the improvisation of jazz and the irresistible rhythms of R&B, and he invites the listener to explore new interpretations of contemporary melodies.
Wali has played guitar with various musical artists including Taj Mahal, Norman Connors, Donny Hathaway, Bobbi Humphrey, Melvin Van Peebles, Noel Pointer, Lonnie Liston Smith, Peter Tosh, and Stanley Turrentine. He has scored for television, and he was bandleader for the Broadway musical "Mule Bone". Wali is also the recipient of the ASCAP Songwriters Award.
Porter Carroll is of Atlantic Starr fame and contributed to classic hits like Circles, Am I Dreaming, Let's Get Closer, Touch a Four Leaf Clover and others. He's also a vocalist for Spyro Gyra, Melba Moore, and Michael Bolton, and most recently has toured with Earth Wind and Fire.

 Open Auditions for the Safe Harbors Ritz Kidz “Newburgh’s Got Talent ” Talent Show will be held in the Lobby at the Ritz, 107 Broadway in Newburgh Saturday, October 20 from 12 to 4 p.m. Kids aged 18 or under and enrolled in a school within the City or Town of Newburgh, are eligible to audition.
Performance categories for the talent show include Dance, Vocal, Instrumental and Dramatic/Comedic Interpretation. Judges for the auditions and the talent show will base their evaluations on showmanship, creativity and quality. A maximum of 20 acts will be selected to compete in the show on Sunday, December 2, at 4 p.m. Cash prizes will be.
There will be coaching feedback sessions on Thursday, November 1 from 4-5:30 p.m. and Thursday, November 15 from 4-5:30 p.m. and a mandatory dress rehearsal on Thursday, November 29 at 4 p.m.

 On Saturday, October 20th at 7:30 p.m., Tompkins Corners Cultural Center will present Rick and Michele Gedney, known as the duo Open Book. They have been writing, recording, and performing together since 2000. Their original music features melody invention and vocal harmonies supported by a tapestry of interweaving guitars. They have released three albums which have received national airplay and critical acclaim.
In addition to touring and recording, Michele and Rick work as facilitators at Dar Williams’ “Writing a Song That Matters” retreat, which is in its sixth season at The Garrison Institute in New York’s Hudson Valley.

 AYAASO is a Roots Reggae Band that has performed at Africa House and numerous other venues in and around New York City and upstate New York. The band can be seen on BRIC TV on TradingPhotos.com in Brooklyn. NY
AYAASO started in the fall of 2003 with Asante Blue on keyboards and vocals, Fes Williams on bass, Bill Bojangles on vocals. A year or so later came Steady Demmings on drums and now also includes Eric Toussaint on keyboards and Andrea Green on guitar.
AYASSO debut CD, A Brighter Day gets airplay in New York, Nevada, Florida, Jamaica, St. Kitts/Nevis, the Eastern Caribbean and on internet radio. The album has fifteen songs including the fans favorites Golden Sun, Blessed Is The Man, Marcus Garvey, Welcome To New York and the Ska instrumental Crush Pepper.

 Woodstock has a new musician to boast–20 year old Chogyi Lama–the most exciting young guitarist to come out of New York in quite some time.
Chogyi is a versatile multi-instrument artist who moves audiences with his intuitive connection to whatever music he is playing. His professionalism is notable when sharing the stage. To date, the list includes Jon Anderson, Jerry Marotta, Dan Littleton, John Sebastian, Aaron Freeman (Gene Ween), Brendan Small, Scott Ian, Michael Clip Payne & 420 Funk Mob, Mike Keneally, Black Rock Coalition Orchestra, Corey Glover, Ike Willis, Graham Nash, Bad Brains and Gibby Haynes.
Currently, Chogyi is composing and recording his own work, producing upcoming artists (be on the lookout), incubating some songs with different artists in the Hudson Valley Region, Collaborating with artists remotely and working with Daryl Jenifer and Doctor Know, of Mind Power and the Bad Brains.

 Based in the Hudson Valley, rising star Dylan Doyle has been performing nationally, as well as internationally. Southern bred, northern raised, his trio’s style of music lies somewhere between roots rock and jam funk. It evokes Woodstock and dips into southern soul. It’s a uniquely American sound Doyle calls “a big melting pot.”
After sharing the stage with the young musician in Memphis a few years back, Ben Cauley, sole survivor of the Otis Redding plane crash and co-founder of the Bar-Kays likened Dylan to a young Jimi Hendrix.
When asked about the wave of young talent rising from the Hudson Valley, Van Morrison guitarist John Platania commented “Dylan Doyle is the future.”
Bill Payne of Little Feat described Dylan’s work as “imaginative and original.”
