Critics and fans alike have praised BINARY, DiFranco’s twentieth album. American Songwriter raved, “DiFranco stretches musical muscles to stay inspired on Binary. Clarence Spady ~ "One of those rare surprises that smacks you upside the head and lets you know how lucky you are to be able to the listen to music." - Vintage Guitar Magazine

Described as "the future of the blues" by Bill Dahl (Chicago Tribune) circa 1996, Clarence’s sound has become more distinguishable now than ever before.

Raised in Harlem, Jerry Dugger caught the music bug early, introduced to the New York City Blues scene by way of the now infamous Dan Lynch Blues Bar. He spent the next thirteen years learning to play bass and sing, while hosting Saturday and Sunday Blues Jams. Jerry Shared his stage with Stevie Ray Vaughan, Johnny Copeland, and James Cotton, among others. His bass/baritone vocals and thunderous bass-playing earned him a place in the New York Blues Hall of Fame. Jerry's band "The Dugger Brothers" are a staple on the New York City Blues scene.

Get down with the get down : go to an event where there is dancing, and start dancing.

Boogaloo : a genre of Latino popular music of especially New York in the 1960s influenced by soul and rhythm and blues ; also : a dance performed to boogaloo music

Go-go dancers : Ladies who dance to hype up and entertain the crowd at clubs. Go-go's often wear covers over their boots called fluffies and fishnet tights.

Girl (1): OMG that girl has some insanely fluffy boots! Girl (2): Oh! The Go-go dancer? Yeah. I'd kill to party like her in those fluffies.

"Barone is uniquely qualified to reinterpret these ‘60s classics; throughout his career, first with The Bongos and then as a solo artist, his work has shown the influence of the pop, rock and folk singer-songwriters who lived and worked in the Village neighborhood where Richard has lived since the mid-1980s." -- Mitchell Cohen / Music Journalist, Author.

Rob Norris is best known as the bassist for The Bongos--the founding fathers of the '80's Hoboken NJ indie-music scene. He also plays with Blue Paradox, East Of Venus, Tulula!, Living With Elephants, OmU (who have twice toured Cuba), Richard Barone & Friends, Joan Henry & Noyeh-Ongeh, Mother Earth and Bibi Farber.
