Tangent will be playing at Torne Valley Vineyards Sunday, Sept. 24th at the 5th Annual Grape Crush Festival from 1 pm to 5 pm. Come and support our return to this fantastic live music venue and historic destination nestled in the Ramapo Mountains. We're back out on the great lawn again this year for the festivities. $5 cover at the door gets you in. The Hip Replacements with John Moroski will be opening & closing the show while covering the breaks between sets so you're in store to hear a full day of non-stop live music. Enjoy the vineyard BBQ, fabulous wine, NYS craft beer, spirits and alternative drinks. Catch covers from the Beatles, The Doors, Dave Matthews, Stevie Ray & Steely Dan. Blankets and chairs are welcome for seating on the great lawn. Canopies must be staked and weighted. No outside food, alcohol, drinks or pets. Rain or shine. The Dirty Sock Funtime Band is a wild, Technicolor musical adventure where anything can happen—and it’s coming to the Paramount Theater!
The Dirty Sock Funtime Band was born out of the collaboration between the Jacobs brothers, who took their early-education teaching philosophy, All Ideas Are Good, and turned it into family entertainment. The result was a hybrid of zaniness, jazz, rock, funk, dance, and comedy.
Time Out NY has named them Best Kid’s Band, and Nickelodeon’s Noggin has chosen them to guest star numerous times on the TV program Jack’s Big Music Show. Their albums include The Dirty Socks Come Clean and Sock-A-Delic.
The band has brought its Rock N Roll Circus Live show to major venues throughout the US, including the PNC Bank Arts Center in New Jersey, Chicago’s Ravinia Festival, and Legoland in California, to name a few!

Adam Falcon is a master guitarist and songwriter. He started recording at 16 and was one of NYC's most sought after session/touring guitarists. He worked with Will Downing, Sophie B. Hawkins, Roberta Flack, and George Benson, for whom he wrote "In Search Of A Dream" from the Grammy nominated album "In Your Eyes", also performing on the album.

For anyone who loves joyful, unpretentious, but highly creative and spontaneous jazz, Todd Londagin’s new album Look Out For Love will be a delightful discovery. In the company of four longstanding musical cohorts, Todd has assembled a repertoire of 10 songs, culled from the Great American Songbook and popular songs.
Bassist Jennifer Vincent and drummer David Berger have been playing with Todd since the early 1990s (all three were original members of the successful ‘90s band, The Flying Neutrinos); while pianist Matt Ray and guitarist Pete Smith have been performing with Todd since 2000. Together, they artfully and lovingly developed each piece like an assortment of delicious dishes combined together for a cohesive feast. As Todd explains, "each tune is an exercise in doing things in a different way." Unabashed swing is definitely a consistent mood throughout the CD. 
“When I started the Rippingtons, I never imagined it would last more than the release of one album, let alone thirty years!” said Russ Freeman, leader and founder of the pioneering, GRAMMY® nominated group The Rippingtons, who are celebrating their 30th anniversary with the release of True Stories, the band’s 22nd CD.
True Stories, which released in June 2016, is a refreshing elixir that will delight devout fans and attract new ones. Joined by original Rippington, alto and soprano saxophonist Brandon Fields, drummer Dave Karasony, bassist and rhodes player Rico Belled and special guest Grammy-winning Jeffrey Osborne, Freeman orchestrates ten compelling original song such as “Wild Tales,” “My Promise,” and “Wonderland.”
True Stories is a testament to the unwavering artistry of Russ Freeman and The Rippingtons and confirmation that there are still many more tales to be told. “I’m trying to reach for a place I have not been. I’m looking for inspiration. I never look back.

La Puerta Azul hosts Brother Z to perform 8-11pm on Friday September 29th. It will be another memorable night of soulful blues rock originals that everyone can dance along to. "Brother Z is a must-see live band!" Brother Z's bassist/singer Mysta Lu toured with reggae legend Natty Wailer and toured with guitarist Steven Repka as the backing crew for punk legend H.R. (of Bad Brains). Join us at La Puerta Azul! They have the best Mexican food & drinks anywhere and the best music. 
The Black Dirt Band Brings their powerful blues and rock perfromances to The Golden Rail. Always a good time at the Rail! 
RIIZA hails from Bedford, NY. We first met them a few years ago at our Kids Open Mic. They were quite impressive then, and have grown into a "band to watch". The vocals are phenomenal, and musically they are tight and quite the performers. RIIZA is active with the Justin Veach Fund, and recently performed at the 13th Annual Pleasantville Music Festival. The band features Ari Perakis on vocals, Justin Giacchetto on guitar, Sean LeVeille on drums and Wilson Yarnall on bass.
