Tim Kubart is bringing an indie pop dance party for all ages to the Paramount! Joined on stage by his band, the Space Cadets, Tim performs songs celebrating real life family moments and milestones. Together, Tim Kubart and the Space Cadets put on a highly interactive and musically rich show that always speaks to kids at top of their intelligence. Tim discovered his passion for making music for kids and families while volunteering in the nursery of an NYC homeless shelter during college. Tim went on to perform full scale productions on national stages and theaters, leading him to be named “the kindie scene’s breakout star” by New York Family. Along the way, he picked up a Grammy Award for Best Children’s Album (Home, 2015) and became an on-camera host of the Emmy-nominated morning show for preschoolers Sunny Side Up on Sprout Channel. Tim composes songs for Sesame Street.

Trifonov’s 2016 album of Liszt etudes, Transcendental, ended up on numerous year-end lists and his sold-out Carnegie Hall recital last December was streamed to a worldwide audience on Facebook and medici.tv. Our Kids Open Mic is a showcase for talented musicians and singers ages 6 - 17. It's one of the longest running Open Mics for young people in Westchester.
Sing solo or with a band. Bring your guitar, bass, sax, flute or whatever instrument you play. We provide a drum kit, keyboard, amps and microphones. iPod backing music can be accommodated, however internet connection not available, so please have your song pre-set.
Our Kids Open Mic has become a popular favorite, and is always full of surprises and incredible talent. Come to perform or just come to listen!
Sign-up begins at 5:30. Kids under 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
