 Karma Darwin is a progressive new band that mixes high energy sound and harmonies with smooth vibrant riffs.
The Poughkeepsie Journal writes, "This band is more about fun than formalities. They play hard rock. They season their songs with hints of a Caribbean island groove that evokes sunsets and sand. They are a catalyst for dancing."
When it comes to writing songs, Peterson says their sound is very much their own. "We don’t restrict ourselves and that allows us to play rock, indie, reggae and mix all these together to make our own sound."
Karma Darwin is Ryan Lowry on drums, Alex Peterson on guitar, John Newton on bass, and Drew Stubbs-Stroud on guitar/vocals. Their vocal harmonies are reminiscent of 50's and 60's style rock-n-roll with a breath of new life.

Petey's originals are powerfully written, musically intriguing and downright fun to listen to. Songs like "Little Johnny", "Westside" and the title track, "The Levee" have been met with high praise.
Pete's CD, "The Levee", reached #1 on the Roots Report for radio airplay. It was produced by Grammy-nominated Blues guitarist Duke Robillard, who's worked with many music industry legends. Duke wrote, "To those who don't know [Petey] yet, you will soon!"

Success can be defined in a number of ways but, often, it’s associated with achieving notoriety in a broad sense . . . a sense of celebrity. This applies to any profession. However, when it comes to music, it’s the most popular yardstick.
There are thousands upon thousands of great unknown musicians. What makes them different from musicians who achieve celebrity? It’s not always clear but whatever the contributing factors for such achievement, the pursuit represents the triple-D threat of being drained, demoralized, and depressed. And if you’ve been at it all your life – and you’re now a “person of a certain age” – it’s enough to make you cry . . . unless you find a way to laugh.
Rich Kelly is a singer/songwriter, bassist and guitarist who plays solo and as a sideman in many ensembles.
Rich has been a fixture on the local music scene for years, performing with THE TRACK, The Fuzzy Flow, Orange Felix and Rich Kelly and the New Fiction. He has been showcased on local TV shows such as The Working Musician, Hot Topics, and the GO-TV Guitar Show.
