This Wonderful Life
with Jeremy Kendall
Paramount Hudson Valley Theater
1008 Brown Street
Peekskill, NY   See Map
This Wonderful Life is a one-man play beautifully acted by Jeremy Kendall. Based on the iconic holiday favorite film, “It’s a Wonderful Life”, the production brings to life over 32 familiar people in an amazing display of physical and verbal virtuosity. Kendall portrays the Jimmy Stewart-inspired George Bailey, and the whole cast of loveable characters from Bedford Falls, including Clarence the Angel, Mary, Zuzu, and all the townsfolk who rely on him to save them from the greedy Mr. Potter. Like the film, the play centers around the character of George, a man who has given up his dreams in order to help others, and whose imminent suicide on Christmas Eve brings about the intervention of his guardian angel, Clarence. Clarence shows George all the lives he has touched and how different life in his community of Bedford Falls would be had he never been born. Jeremy’s 75 minute tour-de-force is at once inspiring, funny, poignant, and most of all, uplifting.

The Best Local Country Music Band in the Hudson Valley
with 4 Guns Ridge, 4 Guns Ridge
Americana, Blues, and Country
Elsie's Place
1475 Route 208
Wallkill , NY   See Map
The members of 4 Gun Ridge have deep roots in Hudson Valley music. After leaving the days or their heavier bands, Joey's Throwin Elbows and Mearth behind, Donny Parker and Ian T. Fuller got the itch to start the edgy country project they had talked about for years. Before too long they stepped it up a notch with the addition of another rock and roller Duke LeBlanc on bass and Brother Adam Schreiner on drums. Fronted by Donny and his Gibson acoustic, 4 Gun Ridge plays original gritty cowboy rock the way you like it. The old time outlaw country influence is obvious but, they never shook off their dirty rock roots. Imagine upbeat southern rock played by upstate NY blue collar boys. Good tunes and good times.

LARRY CAMPBELL & TERESA WILLIAMS
Americana, Acoustic, and Singer-Songwriter
BEARSVILLE THEATER
291 Tinker St.
Woodstock, NY   See Map
Multi-instrumentalist-vocalist Larry Campbell and singer-guitarist Teresa Williams have rocked many a venue, as both center stage performers and invaluable assets to world class acts. A shortlist of artists who’ve benefited from their talents, live and in studios, reads like a Who’s Who of Music Icons: Bob Dylan (Larry spent eight years on the Never Ending Tour), Paul Simon, Little Feat, Hot Tuna, Phil Lesh, Emmylou Harris, Sheryl Crow, Mavis Staples, and, for one miraculous seven-year stretch, Levon Helm.

Now, with an eponymous debut album, the couple brings it all back home. "Larry Campbell and Teresa Williams" may have been simmering awhile, but the timing is perfect; the eleven tracks, produced by Campbell, distill everything into a potent, infectious blend of Americana style and timeless soul, offered with a relaxed generosity that can only come from rich experience.
