This October, Green Kill is excited to host “Dance Night for Young People” on Friday the 28st of October, featuring the emerging young talent from Hurley, Hardc0re, who will take his guests on a dance journey with his signature Electronic Dance Music which combines strong melodies and powerful and energetic bass. The dancers will be bathed in pro lighting effects and sound. Doors open at 7pm and house lights are turned back on at 9:30 pm. Parents are encouraged to stay with their children for the evening. Steve is an award winning Americana artist with strong roots in the singer songwriter tradition, country and rock. His influences include The Beatles, Townes Van Zandt, Pete Seeger, and Steve Earle, among others. He's a regular on the Hudson Valley scene with a steadily growing fan base nationwide. In 2011, Steve won the Hudson Valley SongFest Emerging Artist Competition, Wildflower! Music and Art Festival songwriting competition, Woody Guthrie Songwriting Contest (Third Place) and was a Kerrville New Folk finalist. In 2010, Steve was the grand prize winner of the Music 2Life songwriting competition for "The Wall Street Fat Cat Tax Payer Bail Out Blues". Steve's first C.D. "It Is What It Is" reached number 12 on the folk D.J. Charts in 2007. He's currently working on his latest C.D. with producer Peter Calo set for a January national release. Join us on the last Saturday of the month from October to December (10/29, 11/26, 12/31) as we co-create time and space for people of all walks of life to come together and enjoy three hours of playful dancing and mindful movement. The first hour of the event is a guided warm-up and dance improvisation workshop led by Ophra Wolf of Force & Flow, followed by free and open jamming (i.e. time for you to move or observe as you please) starting at 3 PM and featuring live musical accompaniment. Daisy Anabelle's introspective pop-infused melodic songs -- influenced by the likes of Carole King, Regina Spektor, Fiona Apple and Ingrid Michaelson -- were written both for personal expression and to connect with her listeners. Since moving to NYC in 2014, Daisy has been playing standing room only sets in the Village, Lower East Side, and Brooklyn music haunts such as Rockwood Music Hall, The Bitter End, Bowery Electric, Pianos, and The Living Room. Her debut EP, "My Own Person", features an eclectic mix of musical styles. Denise Angelina Hunt is a singer/songwriter originally from Cold Spring, NY.
