 Vince Fisher began playing and singing in public about 12 years ago. Since then he has played in venues from the Capital Region to Tomkins Cove and from Tampa to Key West. He appears yearly at The Hooley On The Hudson, an Irish Festival in Kingston, NY with his longtime mentor and writing and recording partner, Tom Kiernan of Tampa, FL.
Frank Murasso is best described as an eclectic artist who enjoys painting pictures with words, landscapes with melody, and mood with his vocal attributes. From Crossover Country, to Rock, To Folk and Pop, Frank's soulful sound signature breaks the shackles of boundaries.
The Band Upstairs writes and performs songs that are rich in harmony, steeped in humanity and fueled by 100 proof, rocket-grade honesty. TBU songs are as enjoyable to listen to as they are thought provoking. C’mon upstairs!

The band has been together over 14 years and has performed every Thursday in Woodstock for the last nine years. Traditional bluegrass, new songs, some jazz, old country classics, originals by the band and favorite writers like John Herald and Tom Pacheco, all dot the driving repertoire that is marked by sweet three part harmony.

 Kicking off the 2016 Drive-In season on Friday, May 6 will be an opening party, ribbon cutting and screening of “Breakfast at Tiffany’s.” Freshly shucked oysters, French champagne, and live music fill out the bill. “We are excited to be opening our new Projectionists Club,” said Dwight Grimm. “Our garden is based on the traditional biergarten (an outdoor garden area where beer and other beverages are served). Aptly named The Projectionists Club, it will feature locally produced beer, wine and spirits, plenty of outdoor seating and a stage for live music.” Party programming starts at 7:00pm and includes an oyster shucking demonstratio, six freshly shucked oysters (or shrimp cocktail), two glasses of Gimmonet Gonet champagne, and other snacks. South African jazz vocalist Vuyo Sotashe will perform at the club from 7:00-8:30pm. Performing at the show will be Rock and Roll Hall of Famer, Shirley Alston Reeves, original lead singer of The Shirelles, who will be singing her timeless classics such as "Tonight's The Night", "Soldier Boy", "Mamma Said", and "Will You Still Love Me Tomorrow".

 From Summer Stage in Central Park to SOB's, multi-talented Afro-Cuban musician, radio host, and Latin Jazz USA lifetime achievement awardee Chico Alvarez and renowned flutist Mauricio Smith will grace the stage with their latin dance band, Ran Kan Kan!
Ernesto "Chico" Alvarez Peraza was born in Brooklyn, grew up in Cuba, has performed as a singer throughout the New York tri-state area for the last four decades; and has directed several bands and orchestras including his 10-piece conjunto, Mafímba. He is also the radio host of the New World Gallery, which airs on Sunday afternoons on WBAI Pacifica Radio (99.5 FM).
Mauricio Smith, Jr. was born in Panama and resides in NYC. At age 15 he was already a sensational flutist. He studied music at the National Conservatory of Panama, and with such great musicians/composers as Eduardo Charpentier, Roberto Pitre, Mauricio Smith Sr., among others. Mauricio is also a member of the Charanga band Tipica Novel.

 Carlos Barbosa Lima and Larry Del Casale are celebrating 11 years of performing as a Duo. Their concerts in Europe and America have been hailed as guitar events that take you away from the everyday classical guitar recital into the swing of the Brazilian musical world.
Acclaimed internationally as one of the world's leading guitar masters, ZOHO recording artist, Carlos Barbosa-Lima is recognized throughout the world for his extraordinary skills as a performer and arranger of a wide variety of music for the guitar. His most recent recordings, "Frenesi", "Siboney" and "O'Boto", have been met by critical acclaim and feature the rich cultural heritage of Latin American music combined with Barbosa-Lima's stunning arrangements.
On April 12, 2013 Carlos Barbosa-Lima, along with Larry Del Casale, and the Latin Grammy winning quartet the Havana String Quartet, released; "Beatlerianas" which was nominated for a Latin Grammy Award in 2013.

Kristina has recently become part of the NYC jazz scene, developing quickly into a highly individual jazz singer. Her sound is both timeless and contemporary. Her album, “BlackTop Road”, was a top pick in both Oxford American and Country Weekly. She was selected for an official Americana Convention Showcase, and is a 3-time Kerrville New Folk Finalist, a Telluride Troubadour and a 2-time Wildflower Songwriting Top 10 Finalist. The Boston Herald named her song “The Picture” “Best Political Country Song” of the year 2009. Several of her songs were used in the series "Horsepower" on Animal Planet. Angela has appeared on the nationally broadcast public radio program “Michael Feldman’s Whad’Ya Know”, Sirius XM Outlaw Country’s “Buddy and Jim Show” with Buddy Miller and Jim Lauderdale, and was interviewed by noted journalist Bob Edwards. |
