| Award-winning Boston folksinger Terry Kitchen, called "one of New England's finest songwriters" by The Boston Globe, is as much a storyteller as a musician. His new CD The Post-American Century combines his considerable musical skills with a fearless emotional honesty, keen eye for detail, and deep empathy for his subjects for a compelling portrait of the land we live in. Kitchen is joined by Mara Levine and Amy Malkoff and players Bob Harris (mandolinist for Johnny Cash in the 1980s), Roger Williams (Dobro, Amy Gallatin Band), Chris Devine (violin, Ritchie Blackmore) and Brice Buchanan (guitar, from Kitchen's '80s band Loose Ties). Kitchen himself adds accents on mandolin, autoharp and harmonica in addition to his fluid acoustic guitar playing and resonant vocals. He has performed across the country, releasing ten CDs of original folk music since the 1990s, and his songs have won the Mid-Atlantic and USA Song Contests and been runner-up in the John Lennon Songwriting Contest. | ||

Jeremy James has an incredible sound. "...forged of mellow electric grooves, caressed with some acoustic guitar -- in a style that reminds us of classic Isley Brothers and Stevie Wonder at their sweet, sweet best!" Jeremy has played prestigious clubs such as B.B. King's in NY City, and performed at this year's Pleasantville Music Festival. James' voice is often described as a cross between Stevie Wonder and Seal -- slightly raspy at some points, with an honest, organic quality. He sings warm, heart-felt songs with passion, and his guitar playing is impressive. We first heard James at one of our Open Mic Nights, and were immediately hooked. James performs R&B and Soul with an acoustic guitar that makes his music the perfect accompaniment to a relaxed dinner or sipping a glass of wine on our couches. NO COVER. Thank you for supporting live, local music. | ||
