Gospel, Blues
The Falcon
1348 Route 9W
Marlboro, NY   See Map
The Ministers of Sound deliver their mix of Gospel, Blues, Traditional, Poignant, and Time-Honored American Music, in an up-close and personal setting.

Blues Music Award nominee Alexis P Suter is a powerhouse bass/baritone vocalist with the ability to go to "that other place" where singers go when they get lost in the music. It is no wonder B.B. King and the late Levon Helm are Alexis P fans. Suter and her band have played nearly 100 of Helm’s shows in Woodstock NY and open for “The King” when he visits her hometown of NYC.

With the singular voice of Miss Suter, The Ministers of Sound feature the multi-faceted talents of Ray Grappone (APSB, Buster Poindexter, Levon Helm) on drums and percussion, Vicki Bell (APSB, Open Door, Corey Daye) on vocals and percussion, and Special Guest Dave Keyes on keyboards!!

Michael Farkas is a singer, song-writer and multi-instrumentalist. He is also the founding member of the band, THE WIYOS. Michael has toured extensively in the US and abroad, and is currently trying his hand at children's music with, LUCKY DIAZ AND THE FAMILY JAM BAND.

Red Moon Road

Hootenanny Cafe Mini Concerts
Online: www.wtbq.com or 93.5FM, NY   See Map
Born in a storm on a wild Canadian lake, Red Moon Road came into its own on the trails between coast and coast. All credit goes to the chemistry, and to the magic that happens when the Winnipeg band's two Daniels - jazz-trained Daniel Jordan and bilingual prog-rock vet Daniel Peloquin-Hopfner - strum up the strings to support twilight-voiced singer Sheena Rattai. From living rooms to folk fest stages, the three have charmed fans from coast to coast with their lush and lively take on modern roots, peppered always by bright stage banter, exquisite harmonies and masterfully told stories. As you can hear on their brand-new EP "Tales from the Whiteshell" or their acclaimed eponymous debut album, it's all sort of rich and warm and deeply familiar, like a campfire crackling wherever the microphones stand: even if it's your first time in the audience, you come as a friend of this band.

His goal is not just to perform, but to make the audience feel involved with the show. His appeal is to all groups and ages - kids, adults and seniors have all enjoyed his performances.
