![]() Veteran musicians Joe Gil (trombone), Neil Alexander (organ and keyboards) and Jason Furman (drums) have put together a new group called the "Thunderhead Organ Trio". The group is taking the concept of the organ trio in a new and different direction, drawing on many different influences and styles. The group explores the grittier, rockier side of the genre referencing groups like the original Tony Williams Lifetime and mines the jazz standard repertoire for obscure gems and deep cuts. The group will be playing original tunes, jazz standards, lost classics and rare gems.

![]() Saturday 8:00 pm to 10:00 pm | Jacqui Naylor Quartet, with Art Khu (piano & guitar), Richie Goods (bass), and Josh Jones (drums) Jazz | BeanRunner Cafe 201 S. Division Street @ Esther Peekskill, NY See Map |
![]() "Naylor excels as a sensitive song interpreter with unerring intonation." - DownBeat "Jacqui has a sumptuous voice, knack for scratchiness, and an ability to sweeten those bluesy bent notes." - Village Voice This velvet-toned vocalist and songwriter is equally at ease singing music by Cole Porter and David Byrne as she is her own original music. Far from a straight-laced jazz purist, Naylor has made the mixing (and sometimes "smashing") of genres and eras her stock-in-trade, gaining fans and notoriety for singing the lyrics and melody of jazz standards over the grooves of well-known pop and rock songs and vice versa. "Naylor has brought new twists to the notion of melding jazz and pop tunes - without high-tech assistance," claims NPR. Admission $10 For reservations call, 914-737-1701. Reservations held until 8 p.m.
